  1. There's usuly a roll of red plastic sheets near the exit of home depot just for this purpose.
  2. Ok got ya! You are definitely correct in that respect. I did have to have a talk with her that she's not allowed to tell anyone that daddy carries a gun because we don't want the bad guys to find out
  3. Yet up here when I would drop her off at school in the morning. Me, the principal and the police chief would chat about our kids shooting their red riders and when were going to graduate them to .22s. It was this past year and I live in northern New Hampshire where guns a normal part of daily life. Even many liberals up here are not anti gun. @Krdshrk 1 she will be shooting way before she drives so I have to prioritize. 2 its not like she's completely wrong, the consequences for someone not stopping for a stop light could be death
  4. Me three as does everyone I've ever introduced to shooting. My daughter told her preschool teacher that red means dead when asked what the red light means on a traffic light. Lol
  5. I just do the same routine I did in PT for core strengthening every morning, I'm at the point now if I don't do my PT I feel like I'm forgetting something.
  6. Good luck man! It really sucks, when mine would flare up really bad I would experience mild paralysis in my left leg and would end up dragging it as I walked. FWIW the DR who did my surgery was Dr. David Lamb of the Princeton neck and back institute. He's one of the best back surgeons in the country and he is also pro 2A. I highly recommend him if you want a second opinion
  7. It sucks man i feel your pain. Litterally. I broke my bottom vertebrate but did not have health insurance so I did not go to the DR so when it healed it fused to my pelvis on the left side. A few years later I herniated the 2 disc's above the vertebrate that I broke. Luckily when I blew out the disc's it was at work so workman's comp took care of it. After 1 year of PT 3 times a week and 3 sets of epidural shots I ended up with a 5.5 hour surgery. The cost of the surgery was insane and I was only in the hospital for 24 hours. With that said though I was a miserable prick when I had the sciatica and did not realize how bad it was until about 1 month after the surgery when one day I woke up without the sciatica. I didn't realize how bad it was until it was gone. My back is still fucked and hurts from time to time but the permanent sciatica is gone and I'm 95% back to doing everything I used to do before I destroyed it.
  8. No, they can board any US flagged vessel anywhere in the world at any time for any reason. They are responsible for the majority of the rescues in international waters close enough to be reached from a coast guard base or patrolling ship.

    50BMG ?

All that would be left is the tail
  10. I do not have one but I did get to shoot one in 50gi. Everything about the gun was awsome. Fit, finish, engraving ect was top notch. It was a step or two above the Nighthawk the guy also had and let me shoot.
  11. If you like a longer barrel with a thinner grip you should take a look at 1911s. While 45acp is the most popular 9mm offerings have become common. Also you could get a .22lr conversion for them and you don't need a permit for the .22 conversion.
  12. I've been on boats boarded in NJ and FL as well as international water and that was always the first question they asked. They would just open the compartment, see the gun cases were there and that was it.
  13. Not to mention starting a 9 mile hike with 12k feet in elevation change at 11:30am with an 8 year old, then calling 911 the first time because they were afraid of a bear! There's so many other stories like this its mind boggling. 90% of the rescues are due to people being unprepared for when things go wrong. Hell probably 50% are just because people don't bring a flashlight or head lamp
  14. My backyard AKA White Mountians national forest. Up here if a person needs a rescue (a weekly occurrence) and dosent have a hike safe card and is not carrying the 10 essentials I listed above they will be billed for the cost of the rescue. They get very expensive very fast! Prime example of idiots https://www.conwaydailysun.com/news/local/hikers-rescued-on-jewell-trail/article_0b868904-b17f-11ea-a0f3-9b1a9b8ea45a.html
  15. A WML (weapon mounted light) is a great tool to have on any defensive handgun. Many compact handguns do not have any rail to attach a light to. Just some food for thought.
  16. Ya know if you get that DW 1911 you can always get a .22lr conversion kit for it for the girlfriend
  17. This is one of the great things about the the shooting community in general. Pretty much every time go to a range and there are other people there I end up talking with them and next thing you know I'm shooting their guns and they shoot mine. There is not one other hobby that I know of where people let complete strangers try out gear that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars enthusiastically

At least you can own one and make longer belts while shooting it in PA. As for full auto I don't have that kind of cash to blow through ammo
  19. I have the garmin GPSmap 64 which replaced my etrex 10
  20. I hike allot, as in several times a week. Just hiked a 4k footer before work on Saturday. I carry the 10 essentials as recommended by the NH search and rescue. There are other items I add when the hike requires it such as winter gear but I always carry the 10 essentials every time I head into the woods. I do NOT rely on a cellphone for my maps, one drop on a rock or in a stream and there goes the map. I do carry a handheld GPS but I always have a waterproof map and compass Map Compass Warm Clothing: Sweater or Pile Jacket Long Pants (wool or synthetic) Hat (wool) Extra Food and Water Flashlight or Headlamp Matches/Firestarters First Aid Kit/Repair Kit Whistle Rain/Wind Jacket and Pants Pocket Knife

    Fyi m1919 are NJ legal
  22. If you have lived in NJ for 10 years or more you dont need to fill it out. If you lived in another state in the past 10 years you do have to fill it out. They are asking for consent to serch your mental health records. That's why its called "consent for mental health records search" its pretty straightforward
