Does anyone know how backed up the current nics times are? Have a permit coming up to expire just want to make sure I don't wait too long before buying as I'm still unsure what I'm getting.

Just an fyi submitted on 3/16. Got the background check back today. Now to wait for the town to finish.

Not quite the same but it seems wasr now has a 9mm that takes glock mags. The wasr-m I believe it is. Just released. Seems it is compliant if you pin the brake. Definately on my list once I see some reviews of it.

I put in for three permits, two of which are already spoken for - had an offer out to use the third but it didn't come to fruition. I'm sure that I'll find something. Would really like a birth year K38.

I applied for 2 permits on 3 /16 so I will also keep posted here when the background check comes back. Hoping this means it will be this week.

Thanks guys. So it seems to be a common theme I guess. Dont do the background check for the fars system. Now nobody can buy pistols unless they had permits. And no new finds out there. So they got what they wanted and less guns being sold.

Yea same with mine. The background check is normally in quick but never got updated. References were done but that's all. Makes me wonder if they aren't even processing them at this point.

Has anyone submitted a fars check recently? I submitted on March 16th and the state police background check is still not even completed. Normally it's a few day turn around for me. Reached out to my local pd and they are waiting on the state police for it still. Wasnt sure if this system too is just this backed up or what.

I know not south jersey but Reloaderz in wayne I think had 1 yesterday in stock. Lucianos in lodi said he was getting an order yesterday or today, and the silver bullet in rockaway had 1 on Wednesday when i was there. None south. But they are around. Good luck getting nics in before close.

Not sure if anyone knows but just to put things in perspective how deep was the backlog after sandy hook? If I remember correctly it was a 2 week wait at one point back then.

Correct me if I'm wrong but we can still drive to PA and buy a long gun and walk out with it with their check system that i think is much faster.

So far ive got a 19ls slide and barrel, Alex plunger and no fail extractor. Vickers slide stop and mag release. A ghost 3.5 connector and an ssvi trigger. Comp, rmr, and sealing plate should be here this week to finish it up.

Thanks but i actually ordered an agency arms comp before. After looking and seeing they claim no need to change your recoil spring figured its worth that a shot. Plus the ability to put your front sight on the comp might be cool. Hopefully by mid week i have the remaining parts and can give it a range test.
That's the sealing plate i got. The type 2 one though not linked type 1.

Thank you. Some more options. Yea it's just a fun build but I def want something built decent. Never used a pistol comp before so know nothing about them. Have everything else almost done at this point. Just waiting on a few last pieces, rmr, sealing plate, sights and need to order the comp.

I got this from the dealer on my new pickup. It's expensive but it's really nice. I've had flip covers, hard covers, rollup covers, and this is my favorite by far and would get again on the next truck.

Thanks. Yup looking at lone wolf with the spacer and their custom barrel and now the brownells. Going to look more later to see if anyone else makes them.
