  1. I shipped it to the address on the form with signature required and it was delivered without issue to the PO box. You may want to verify that the address it went to is the lawyer's office. Sent from my SM-T700 using Tapatalk
  2. I wasn't using the optics so I didn't mind taking the risk. I filled out 2 online forms, but shipped both in a single box with delivery confirmation, signature required, and insured. I looked at it as a sunk cost. So hopefully I'll get the MSRP back for both. Sent from my SM-T700 using Tapatalk
  3. I went through the site and shipped 2 optics last week. They arrived on Monday according to USPS tracking. Haven't gotten any email notification yet though, but it's to a PO box so I don't know how often they check. Sent from my SM-T700 using Tapatalk
  4. I did the $500 life membership a while back. Missed out on the $300 life memberships, but don't think we'll see it that low again. Now they send me life endowment membership requests. Not as frequently as when I was just doing annual membership though. Sent from my SM-T700 using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome. I'm in Monroe as well. Ride a 07 cbr600rr and a 16 FZ-09. Probably waved at you on the roads a few times. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
  6. I checked with Monmouth Arms and Hopewell Gun Works. Steve at Monmouth Arms is trying to locate 1 for me. Not sure about any of the other vendors.
  7. I saw 2 at Cheyenne Mountain on Monday, but they were both spoken for. A 308 and the other a 243. I've been looking for a 308 or 6.5 Creedmoor and everywhere I've checked is out of stock.
  8. Never seen any research that even remotely comes close to the results you are referring to. Do you have links to this research? Think of it this way. . .do you want to crash and have the full force of impact on your head or would you rather have a properly designed helmet with EPS foam designed to compress and take up some of the impact? If you're talking about those soup bowl helmets that some people wear just so they don't get a ticket then I can understand. When I refer to a helmet I mean a full face DOT and Snell approved helmet. 9. Yes. I'd wear one even if it wasn't the law. Same with all the rest of my gear. Used to be an EMT so I have no desire to end up with road rash.
  10. I've got a bunch of heli's all electric. I never got into nitro heli's because you get oil reside over everything, plus they're loud. I have nitro cars and all the kids come out to watch when I run them so I don't want the same thing to happen when I'm flying a heli. I can fly the electrics in my backyard without any issues. You can check out www.helifreak.com or www.runryder.com as those are the 2 most popular heli forums.

    Dash cams

I bought a Blackvue DR500GW-HD. You can get them off Massdrop once in a while. It has WiFi, HD, GPS, audio, and the capability to send live stream to your phone with a free app. You can also get an accessory that will keep power going to the cam until a voltage threshold is met so that you don't kill your car battery. The unit will go into sleep mode, but will start recording when it detects motion.
  13. I had a PS4 Day 1 system ordered on Amazon, but ended up cancelling it a couple weeks ago. I don't play FPS games so it made more sense to just wait until the games libraries grew and then maybe pick up a system later. . hopefully cheaper as well. I did see the XB1 demo system at the MS store and they had KI running on it. Game looked really good, but I think MS needs to drop their price when you compare what you get for the money HW wise.

    NJ NICS

But that's the main issue isn't it? We should not have to wait. There is nothing "instant" about NICS right now and it doesn't seem as though anything is being done about it. If everyone starts to accept this as the norm, then it will end up just like the FID process where 30 days is nothing more to most townships than a number.

    NJ NICS

Honestly, I don't think this "wait period" is ever going to change. We basically have a situation where there is now a wait period under the auspices of not enough manpower to process the checks. This is exactly what the anti's want. In this scenario, you will have more and more folks going to neighboring states to pick up their long guns where they can get them same day. This does nothing but reduce business for gun stores and FFL's within NJ. If we look at the bigger picture and more long term, this could lead to gun stores and FFL's closing up shop, which is exactly what the anti's want. Then, it's just a matter of waiting for Federal legislation to pass prohibiting FTF transfers and ending any means of purchasing out of state.
  16. I use a Braun 790cc-4 shaver. Found it to give me the best shave over the Norelco units I've tried in the past.
  17. I use a Golden Rod year round and in the summer months I run a 1pt. mini-dehumidifier. I also run a weather station on the top of the safe with a remote sensor inside the safe and I can tell you that the humidity level is definitely much lower than it is on the outside. Here's a link to the mini-dehumidifier unit I use: http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/202847202?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=dehumidifier&storeId=10051&N=25ecodZ5yc1v&R=202847202#.UVO1eFdv7lw

  19. Just picked up a few myself. Hope to grab some black ones when they're available as well.
  20. I run a goldenrod and a mini-dehumidifier since I have electrical in my safe. I have to empty the dehumidifier about once every 1.5 weeks depending on the temps.
  21. Not on this forum. www.snipershide.com It's a dedicated long range forum.
  22. You can keep an eye on snipershide in the optics FS forums. You can get a pretty good deal some times.
  23. I run a US Optics SN-3 3.2-17x 44mm scope on my LaRue OBR and am very happy with it. It's probably a bit pricier than you want to spend though. I have a lot of Nikon glass and I think they offer a very good bang for your buck. I've wanted to try Nightforce and the Vortex PST scopes as well as I've heard great things about them.

    Handled an XDS

No problem on the comparison pics. Now I just have to find time to get to the range to shoot it.
