Here it is with my XD45

Says the 716 comes with a 16" barrel so you would be legal. If it was a 14.5" barrel, then you would need a muzzle brake to make the barrel legal and not an SBR.

What did you want me to compare it to? I've got quite a few handguns so I may have something you're familiar with.

I paid $575 for it. The 7 round magazines were $35 each. I haven't heard anything about a 6 round mag, but I do know that Pierce is making a magazine extension for the standard magazine.

I got my 7 round mags in yesterday. They add about an inch to the gun and allows for your pinky to sit comfortably. Still have to find time to get to the range to try it out with both mags though.

    Handled an XDS

Just picked up an XDS today. Springfield just released a 7 round magazine as well so you'll get 7 + 1. I ordered 2 so hopefully I get them next week. It was between the XDS and PPS for me and both felt good in my hands. I'll probably pick up the PPS the next time I apply for permits.
  9. You would hate to hear me on my bike then. lol Love the rumble of the boxer engine though. Although I am cognizant of my neighbors and don't rev the piss out of it when I'm in the neighborhood.
  10. LOL. . .did I mention it's modified and loud as hell? Pretty hard to miss me.
  11. Well.. . I was there and unfortunately don't think I met anyone of you there. Tons of folks there though. Maybe I'll figure out who each of you are at the meeting next Wed.
  12. I'm planning on going around 6 since that's when the gates open so I can get a spot. See you there. . I'll be the asian guy driving a Subaru.
  13. Anyone else going tomorrow? I plan on joining tomorrow night. Hopefully it won't be too overcrowded.
  14. Placed an order for a case. Thanks for the post OP.
  15. Zip tie FTW. That's one of the first things I did after moving into the new house.
  16. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). Change of address with 3 PP 2. Police Department where you applied. Monroe Township 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Detective Gifford and Inspector Gross 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 41 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). None 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). No issues. Everyone was easy to work with and the process was a lot faster than my previous town of Hopewell, NJ
  17. I'm not worried about ammo at this point. I've stocked up on handgun and rifle ammo. . .enough to last me quite a while. I was more concerned with whether or not it made sense to apply for a change of address only to do it again less than 3 months later. If Marlboro PD processed within the 30 day window, it would have been a no brainer, but it seems like it's hit or miss with them lately. I've not lived in Marlboro in over 7 years so I haven't spoken to any of my contacts in the local PD in a while since I was an EMT.
  18. Yeah. . that's what I'm saying. The new house doesn't even have a CO yet so I'm just going to wait until I'm moved into it at the end of the year. Hopefully the process won't take too long once I'm there. It took about 3 months for me to get my initial FID from Hopewell.
  19. The new house is a new construction so the address doesn't even technically exist nor a Certificate of Occupancy so I don't think I can change my address to the Monroe address. I've already gone on a bit of a buying spree picking up some rifles that I was thinking about so I think I'm good for a little while. I'm thinking the best thing to do is to wait until I'm in the Monroe house since it would really suck to be moved in, but still waiting for my FID to come in from Marlboro only to do it all over again. Thanks for the advise guys.
  20. I've searched and haven't really found anything on the forums that addresses my specific situation. I'm moving at the end of September in with my folks until our new house is constructed. The new house is targeted for completion in December. My folks live in Marlboro and the new house is in Monroe. I've read where 2 folks in Marlboro took almost 3 months to get their FID cards. Is it even worth it for me to submit for a change of address in Marlboro and then do it all over again when I move to Monroe? Or should I just wait until I'm in Monroe and do it once?
  21. I managed to make it down to the range on Friday so here's what my experiences were with both scopes. I would say that the glass is very comparable between the 2. The APV has a standard target reticle and the Nikon has a BDC. I usually use a mil-dot reticle so it took me a little while to get used to each of them. I think if I had to do it over again, I would have gotten the APT instead. The build quality of both scopes is solid, but I like the Nikon as it just feels solid and a little higher quality. I also preferred the Nikon for the turrets and their ability to be re-zeroed by just pulling up on the cap and turning it back to zero. As for the quality of the glass, I had no issues with either scope and thought that they both provided excellent clarity. One other thing to consider is price. I was able to get the APV for around $150 and that is with an ARD and Burris Signature Zee rings. The Nikon cost about $35 more with the same rings. If you want the APT, that will cost you around $200 as that scope uses 34mm rings which are a little more expensive, assuming the same rings. I don't think you could go wrong with either scope. The APV does have AO while the Nikon is locked at 50 yards. I think for my next scope, I'm going to try the APT and see if I can get the best of both worlds. Hope this helps.
  22. I actually have one of each of those scopes being delivered this week. One for a 10/22 and the other for a Savage TRR. I'm hoping to get to the range on Friday so I can give a field report on both afterwards.
  23. Yes, that's the one. Same brand ammo as the OP posted. Federal American Eagle 115gr.
