  1. Sorry to drag up an old topic... Can I use one of the change of address stickers that I was mailed on my FID or does it have to be an official change of address and new FID altogether?
  2. Follow up question.. I have extra official change of address stickers. Is it OK to attach one of those to the FID? I just thought of that.
  3. My FID has the address of my mom's house. I never legally (until recently)switched my address to my apartment when I got married. My current DL does still have that address on the front of the card, but has the address change sticker affixed to the back. (My mom just recently moved to NC and I had to get my registration done so I had to change my address officially.) I'm guessing this won't count as matching on the two, right? I mean, it does match if you don't look at the back... I'm pretty sure i know the answer but wanted to verify. I'm hoping to move again relatively soon and don't really want to hassle myself with the FID change of Address twice in a short time period.
  4. Yeah, for the price I figured it's worth it regardless. It was cheaper than the HXP, and I can do the appropriate cleaning to make up for the cost. I'd really love it if it were mostly noncorrosive, but I have my doubts.
  5. I got some ordered. Anybody else score any? I'm expecting it to be WWII era corrosive, but hoping for at least a bit of 50's non-corrosive stuff.
  6. Sorry, I meant Target Sports. Though I have ordered from SG recently enough. But i've used them in the past with no problems.
  7. The other new-to-me vendor was Dupage Trading.
  8. I have a question for those who have ordered... have any of you had any type of CC related fraud or unauthorized charges since ordering from here? I AM NOT INCRIMINATING THEM... JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT. They are one of two new-to-me vendors that I have used in the past month if not longer. My Discover card number was stolen and used to order a bunch of stuff this morning. Anyone else have any issues?
  9. my 92fs loves wolf and brown bear. I'm out of it though. All I have is brass stuff right now.
  10. Thanks for the post. I just ordered a case and passed it on to a friend.
  11. That's true... I did indeed forget the nics charge. My local guy is I think 20 bucks per item plus 15 for nics for the whole "order". so if I get one, its ~95 bucks.
  12. We need an FFL on here (up North, maybe!!) to do a group buy. maybe get them for $75 all said and done. Is that even possible? Shipping and FFL individually doubles the cost of it.
  13. I'm a big fan of actual ammo cans. Both .30 and .50 caliber cans. I do have 3 of the cabelas plastic "cans" and they are OK. I wouldn't buy them, they came free with some .22 ammo I purchased a while back.
  14. I think i'm going to end up with the cabelas 400, but i'll probably get the kit. comes with polish and media.
  15. though they did respond saying they would send a new one right out.
  16. ehh, i would've taken a bit of rusty water... this is what mine came like:
  17. I got my order today. Thanks for the heads up. One can is pretty damaged. I emailed asking for a replacement just a few minutes ago. I can't imagine they won't replace it so for now I'll say I'm pleased! (the other three cans look great, just a smidge of surface rust).
  18. Sweet shorts! I wish those were my free gift!! haha
  19. OK. I got suckered in!! Thanks for the post. I got 4 cans, 4 pairs of boot socks, the membership and the free first aid kit for just under $57 shipped. I think it's a good deal. Who can't use more ammo cans! haha
  20. I have two ARs. One is a Stag arms flattop carbine. The other a self-assembled lower and I put a 20" 1/9 twist A2 upper on it. Since you are asking about 20" barrels. I had a terrible time finding a govt profile NJ legal A2 upper. Everything seems to be an HBAR and that is what I ultimately ended up with. I really don't like the added weight (but gotta say, it is super accurate!). I guess all that being said, for your uses, maybe consider a carbine? HD and "SHTF" use the longer and heavier rifle may be a detriment. And my Stag Carbine is quite accurate as well so it might be your best bet. I don't know... just talking out loud, I guess.
  21. I'm working through 1000 rds of the Geco 9mm. It's good stuff. I've never shot the RWS, but hear it is good.
  22. another big plus for Jim (and Dave) at Action in Haledon. I've used them multiple times and will do so again tomorrow.
  23. I wonder if (hypothetically, of course) one could ask FedEx to hold your CMP rifles at a FedEx depot for pickup by oneself thus avoiding the FFL dealer. I know people can ask them to hold packages for Pickup and the CMP only ships them as Adult Signature Required. hmmm...
  24. $600 for a beautiful HRA service grade from the CMP assuming you qualify.

    Century Arms

My Enfield No 4 that I recently received is from Classic Arms but seems to have been originally sourced from Century. I was actually pretty impressed with the overall condition of the rifle (especially since they were sold out of "handpick" Enfields when I ordered). That being said, I've not yet shot it, but it seems in nice shape.
