  1. I believe so. At issue with the pre CCARE (SEPT 17, 2023) Shooters qualification is Shooters never did any holster work before. Now we are being forced to do it.
  2. Not quite sure where you are going with this one.....
  3. Dajonga disclaimer... I work at Shooters. Dajonga's summary of the big takeaways here... - Don't be mean to us. We know this sucks. We know it is BS. We know the AG and Murphy suck, but we don't want to hear it every single time we take a call. Please, no profanity. We do not like this any more than you do.... We like it less, in fact. This creates more work for us. Be patient, be kind. Be a jerk to us and you will likely be asked to take your business elsewhere. - Please do not call the store to ask questions about what is clearly stated above.... Our phones ring off the hook already. If every one of the nearly 4000 people who have qualified with us calls, it will be chaos. - Only call the shop to schedule your qual. Clearly state that you are scheduling for a re-qualification or an initial qualification - If you can prove you took your qualification with Shooters, you get to reshoot for free. NO EXCEPTIONS! As a serious gun owner in NJ who is accustomed to all of the insane paperwork needed to own guns in NJ, if you failed to keep a copy of your qual and/or your receipt, you have made a mistake. Be a grownup, admit you made a mistake & learn from it. Yes, we have a copy of your Qual in our records. No, we will not go up to the offices looking through thousands of pages of paperwork to provide a copy for you. - You will need a holster. - You will shoot 50 rounds.. 10 rounds each at 3, 5, 7, 10 & 15 yards in 5 round strings. There are no time restrictions - The requal is shooting only and will only take 20 minutes or so. - If you are shooting the qual for the first time or have lost your paperwork and need to take the whole thing again, the price for the classroom and shooting has increased from $90 to $120.

  8. SOLD... 2 (TWO) Ocean Kayak Frenzy sit on top kayaks with backrests. These are perfect for recreational paddling and fishing. They are 10.5 feet long. 2 paddles and 5 life jackets. My wife and I have come to the conclusion that we are not going to use these anymore. $225 each or buy both for $400. Pick up in Bayville. I can deliver for you if local , along the GSP between Toms River and LEHT.
  9. I have been asked by a friend to assist in selling a couple of his guns. One of them has me stumped. Gunbroker is less than helpful. It is a Colt Border Patrol .357 mag revolver. There is not much info out there on this. SN is 43658j. Grips are not original. Some honest holster wear. Any smartypants people here have any insights? Thanks.
  10. I was unaware the new website went live..... above my pay grade I guess. I will do some digging into it and get back to you.
  11. I did get them and was meaning to call to say thank you!!! When I am done with my current box of Wilkenson Swords, I will give them a go.
  12. I don't want to be the guy that says "I know a guy who knows a guy" but.... I work at a range & gun shop. One of our regulars is a retired Trooper. He is friends with a current Trooper who is involved with the firearms unit who says the new training rules may not be ready until August. I probably shouldn't say this on an open forum, but I can imagine a day when I stop giving a rat's ass about gun rules from our corrupt Trenton overlords.
  13. A long winded response... sorry. I am asked this question often & my opinion is that unless you have collectible or irreplaceable items, a fire-rated safe is overkill. I use several steel gun cabinets for long guns. I use a wall of school lockers for ammo. I use steel blueprint shelves handguns. They all lock. All my cabinets were bought off of CL or FB. All told, I have spent maybe $200 of all of this steel. My gun storage needs are simple.. keep the guns protected and keep kids out. My kids shoot with me and have long ago lost any interest in messing with my stuff. They also know that if they are caught trying to access the guns, they are in for a world of misery. As for bad guys... If you break into my home.... after walking past the alarm company signs and stickers & after setting off the alarm system & dealing with the dog, if you have the time to get into the basement and have brought the tools needed to open my steel gun cabinets (I keep my prying tools in the garage)..... have at it! You, the bad guy, have committed a serious crime and will likely be caught. You have been on my neighbor's cameras driving in the neighborhood. My cameras got you entering my house. Police response to my house is around 4 minutes, but you don't know that. Good luck walking down the street to your car with my guns. If you are a serious burglar, you have skipped my modest house entirely because of the alarm system. If you are a tweaker looking for a fast hit, you have gone in looking for money and RX bottles. You will not have time to get to my guns. Spending many hundreds or thousands on a "fire-rated" safe is not worth it to me personally. They are heavy, hard to move around, expensive and while they may provide some heat protection, they will not protect from water & moisture, which is what will kill your guns in a house fire. If my house catches on fire to point of getting to my safe, I have bigger problems than my nice but not unique guns. Seriously look at what your storage needs are. I would rather spend the money on other things.
  14. A thoughtful letter and few hundred dollar bills. Eating out is nice, but she may want or need to use the money for other things. I believe most home care aides work for big companies and are paid shit. IMHO, it is a travesty how little we pay these people.

  16. At one point in the spring, I heard talk that existing permit holders would have until October to reshoot the new qual, but the need to shoot the qual when your permit expires in 2 years would be waived. I am hoping that is the case.
  17. Joined. Even if this does not work for the brace, I donated to a good org.
