  1. Merkur Hefty Classic. Check out classicshaving.com Very cool place to get shaving supplies. Tons of different soaps.
  2. Another shop to avoid in the future.
  3. UPDATE>>> I met with Tom at Henry in Bayonne today. Very nice guy and it would be cool to work there. I learned that in the last 3 years, Henry's annual output has gone from 200,000 rifles, to 250,000, to 300,000. 2013 looks to be an even bigger jump in production. Talk about growth. They are paying $13 an hour, max. Very sad.

  5. Email sent! Many thanks for the heads up, SpecialK!!!
  6. I went there a couple years ago. Same thing with needing to show a p2p to look at a pistol. FID and Dl did no good. Never went back.
  7. WMAs are pretty much a free-for-all, but limited to .22, shotgun and muzzleloaders. Stafford Forge often looks like a junk yard. Lotsa stuff lying around, like computer monitors, frying pans, toys and whatnot. I do wish people would clean up after themselves. I forsee a day when the state clamps down on WMAs due to the mess.
  8. My opinion........ I see the Gov as our only hope here. The Assembly will pass all the new laws, and the Senate most likely will follow suit. Their minds are already made up and they show no interest in compromise with us. Most of them have ignored our pleas, citing polls that most in NJ support ALL of the new proposed laws. Govs veto is what we should be aiming for. I think if we all concentrate our efforts on the Governor's office, and only the Governor's office, we may stand a chance in defeating these BS laws. Ignore the people who will not listen to us. He is facing an election this year. Remind him of Florio's defeat after NJ's AWB went into law. Remind him of the Republican sweep in DC after the national AWB went into law. On second thought, Sweeney is, for better or worse, the second most powerful man in the state & shows a willingness to confront the Gov. So, concentrate on Gov and Sweeney? Thoughts?
  9. S&W 34 here. Very nice, little 4-inch J frame. Kid A loves it and will most likely get it as his first handgun when he turns 21. I picked it up used for around $350.
  10. And, can we shoot .223 at WMA training areas?
  11. Excellent, effortless transaction with a good guy.
  12. Maybe I should paint my cx4 Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty, bangbangbang You are so pretty, bangbangbang In the country, bangbangbang and in the city, bang (10 round mag)
  13. Wow! What a difference in double action trigger pull. A highly recommended $6.00 modification.
  14. Sold me a lovely Henry .22 quick and easy. Great guy to deal with.
  15. In NJ, there are no felonies or misdemeanors. Crimes = Felonies Disorderly Persons = Misdemeanor Egg throwing would almost certainly be a misdemeanor. I have a misdemeanor on my record and it has is no way interfered with my FID or P2Ps. If you have the gun, don't worry about it. In future, check no. Good luck.
  16. Kinda wish I did not just pay for a 1 year membership a few months ago.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OfMfOkcJJQ I thought I would share this here. In 2004, I got a VIP ride on a Blue Angels F/A-18 prior to an airshow at McGuire. Maneuvers and Mach 1 out over the ocean. I blacked out 3 times. Keep in mind that Blue Angel pilots do not wear G-suits, so neither do the VIPS. I think max g was around 7.5. Hope the video works.
  18. Could you be named in the will as recipient of the gun upon his death? Then no p2p would be needed, correct?
  19. I have no interest in hunting hogs. I just want a rifle for fun shooting at the range, so the .223 does not concern me.
  20. So here is the kind of rifle I have been thinking about investing in... A simple, bolt-action rifle, with an internal magazine & iron sights, in either 223 or 308. The Savage Hog Hunter seems to check all my boxes, and the price can't be beat. Has anyone seen one around or had a chance to shoot one? Thanks.
  21. You are very welcome. Enjoy

    Bolt action .223

Found it. http://www.eregulati...a-regulations/# .17 is now good to go at WMAs that allow rimfires. QUOTE... Muzzleloading rifle and shotgun range: muzzleloading firearms, shotguns with rifled slugs or buckshot and modern rimfire (both .17 and .22 caliber) rifles only.

    Bolt action .223

Kman, WMAs that allow .22 are now allowing .17 cal rimfire. I do not have the link on me now, but another forum member pointed me to it. I will try to find it.
  24. Great guy to deal with. Enjoy the gun!
  25. " What brand of ammo do you use? Is this gun picky about what you run through it? " I have used cci bulk, federal bulk, cci quiets & even the dreaded golden bullet without fail. The synthetic stock feels a little cheap. I should have waited for the wood stock. I If you are ever in Ocean Co, lemme know and we can go shoot it and my other .22 rifles, all marlins...795, 880 & 989m2.
