i was going to buy the 357 bc it has a steel frame instead of alloy. i would be shooting .38 thru it and .357 for home defense/ccw (if needed).

Finally decided on a revolver, Ruger LCR .357mag (steel frame) Now, who has one in stock? I see them on GunBroker, but prefer to buy from someone in NJ.

the problem that im running into is that most shops wont sell it to me unless its NJ compliant & they dont do the mods to make it compliant. i may run into the same issue with gunbroker, etc. im assuming they need to modify it, then ship it to my FFL, correct?

i dont know if im far or near sighted. things get burry when i try to look far away. yesterday was my 1st time at the range and i wore those ugly plastic glasses over my rx glasses. maybe i can get away without my rx glasses, but i didnt try. too nervous worrying about everything else.

what do you guys recommend for hearing protection? does anyone wear ear plugs instead of headsets? what about eye protection while wearing prescription glasses? i may consider contacts just for the range instead of possibly wearing (2) sets of glasses.
