    First 1911?

You have no idea what you are missing. Same great platform, significantly lower ammo bill. But for your first, go .45.

Springfield Range Officer without a doubt. Very nice gun out of the box. And, makes a great platform if you decide to upgrade it.

  4. 45ACP! Because shooting someone twice is a waste of ammo!

  6. HAHA, if he kicks in my door, boy will he be in for a rude awakening...
  7. Absolutely. Get in touch with Vinny at Hunting World, he offers a 10% discount on all things Dillon.
  8. You may also want to check your extractor, it may be a bit tight. What you described as the slide not closing fully is many times a tight extractor. There are some good videos on YouTube to walk you through it.
  9. Pistol - 15 rounds Rifle - 15 rounds Semi-auto shotgun - 6 rounds
  10. He was referring to OBRPC, the door opens whenever he wants, 24/7 indoor, 9am until sunset outdoor.
  11. You will most likely never have to wait at OBRPC. Just be sure to check the events calendar on the home page. http://www.obrpc.org/ If there is an event scheduled, the ranges specified will be closed until the event concludes.
  12. Looks like every station is giving a different forecast. Guess we'll see which one is right tomorrow. See you in the AM.
  13. Can't say I blame him for firing the coach. As for the noisy wife, I completely understand that one.
  14. Looking like a gametime decision for me on this one. A little rain is fine but thunderstorms and heavy rains might be a bit much.
  15. You're in? Wow, I thought you moved away or something. 88 and thunderstorms, perfect!! What do you expect from an STI...
  16. I have owned the Shield, PM9, and Walther PPS. I have had the chance to play with the XDS and the nano. Of all of them, I still have the Shield. PM9 - Great little gun, for me it was just a little too small to shoot comfortably and accurately. Walther PPS - Awesome trigger, very comfortable to shoot, very accurate. Unfortunately, I bought that one in .40. It had feeding issues and a heck of a kick. XDS - Personally, didn't like anything about it. Especially the feel in my hands. Nano - Meh. It's OK, nothing special about it that peaked my interest. Besides, if Nick likes it, it can't be any good. Shield - Very nice feel in the hands, comfortable to shoot, accurate. Trigger is not the best but, could be made much better with an Apex kit. Although I will probably leave it be. It's not a competition or range gun, the stock trigger is just fine for it's purpose, which for me is AIWB around the house.
  17. I'm in too if it's at Old Bridge.
  18. Traded in the '07 Hemi Ram a few weeks ago. The new family truckster.

  20. The only time you can join is at the new member orientation. The next one is June 8th @ 9am. As far as checking out the range before joining, any full member can meet up with you and give you a tour. Or, you could come down to one of the many competitions at both the indoor and outdoor ranges and take a look then, competitions are open to the public. Check out the events calendar on the home page. http://www.obrpc.org/
  21. Probably soon. They usually average about 90 days for the initial. That's awesome. The best I have ever seen from them is 4 weeks.
