  1. Intercooler, I'm bringing mine to Shore Shot this Tuesday if you're interested in trying one out. Nice trigger, heavy, but creep-free DA.
  2. Sweet! I'm excited to get into this. I'm sure I'll probably miss every target, but still love it. I'm going to use a Sig Pro in 9mm, with Blackhawk holster & mag pouches. 2 Questions: 1) Does it matter if I use the paddle or the belt-loop holster? 2) I wear prescription glasses, will they be enough or will I need to find over-glasses safety glasses for these events? Thanks!
  3. If you shoot 3 events you can get the badge to be approved for holster: - To obtain the badge the shooter must attendatches in the afore mentioned programs, or combination there of, and supply copies of the 3 match results or obtain a sign off by the match directors.
  4. Melismas in the national anthem should be keep to a minimum. It was totally horrible, not to mention the halftime crap-fest. I can't believe that passes for music.
  5. It was nice meeting everyone. I'll definitely be back again.
  6. Weather permitting, I'll come. I'm going to bring my High Standard and maybe my Sig Pro. Feel free to bug me if you want to try either. Probably be there around 7:30, I'll be the super-tall guy with glasses.
  7. Is the Saiga piston-driven? If so, maybe the piston be adjusted to allow for the lighter loads?
  8. The international version has a couple more scenes with Matilda going on hit runs with Leon for training and some other scenes between them that I think help define the characters better.
  9. The Professional. Go for the international edition if they have it.
  10. Yeah, I know someone who totally believes in the stuff and I always try to turn them away from it. Penn and Teller's Bullsh¡t! did their first episode on it. It's a great show... they have one on gun control too.
  11. MidwayUSA.com has them for $2, if that helps.
  12. I saw the trailer for this the other day - was he mounting an AK underneath an AR??

    Kel-Tec KSG

2 tubes side by side is very interesting.
  14. Or just do njgunblogs.com and have it separated by topic, that way it's one source, and if you add a topic you don't need a whole other site. You can have multiple people submit and manage articles to different portions of the site. If a couple people want to run with it it might work well.
  15. Setting up a blog or just using a blogging service like Wordpress.com isn't too tough. I'm a full-time web developer so if anyone needs some advice or help I'd be glad to help the cause of a better NJ gunowner presence on the web.
  16. Thanks for posting this. My cousin is deployed in Afghanistan now, so it gave me a good look at what he might be going through. He's pretty much in the same situation - at a fwd operating post, working with the locals.
  17. Interesting... mine is stamped as Exeter, NH, I got a single 15 round mag, no extra grip, no cleaning kit, just oil and lock. No night sights on mine, but I didn't think to order them if it was an option. Maybe they throw in the extras with that. When I researched it, seems everyone got a different configuration (int/ext extractor, mags, finish, grips). You put many rounds through it yet? I've got about 250 into mine so far, I dig it.
  18. Nice. What came in the box with your SigPro?
  19. So, my bolt catch lost all pressure from the catch spring. I popped out the retention roll pin and found the spring and plunger don't want to come out. I can press it down, but it just pops up, stops, but doesn't move past the edge. Anyone have any insight on how to pop this sucker out? I've tried to catch an edge and pry it out, but there's nothing to catch on. I'm guessing a burr or something is stuck in there and preventing it from working properly. I can post a picture if that helps. Thanks.
  20. The problem with your example is that it's of a specific known threat. If we had a warning that a person of a specific ethnicity and appearance had a bomb, then yes it's fine to stop anyone who matches that description. But unfortunately with the current state of islamic terrorism, it's not just guys who 'look' muslim. Who would think this guy or this guy would be an islamic terrorist just by looking at them. I think racial profiling for terrorists would lead to a myopic view of the threat, if you're only looking for one thing, it's easy to miss a threat elsewhere. This is an interesting account of how even using fake boarding passes, wearing an Osama Bin Laden T-shirt, having a hezbollah flag and sharp implements won't guarantee you get stopped or even questioned. To me, it's all just security theater. We're always going to be one step behind terrorist attacks. They use shoe-bombs, we check the shoes; they make liquid-bombs, we limit your liquid; they use underwear bombs, we porno-scan you and tickle your taint. I'm just curious how long this goes on until we either realize how crazy it is or become a police state. If we really wanted to make sure nothing got on a plane we didn't want, do a full x-ray, MRI, (or whatever) scan/strip search, anything other than that and we have to accept a level of risk. We just need to agree on what that level is, which is obviously the tough part.
  21. Didn't see this posted, it looks like 'NJ lawmakers' (who and how many?) are speaking out against the scanners too.
  22. That GunFacts.info site is a great resource. I'd love to hear how his debate goes...
