  1. Franklin lakes had my permits done in 30days just this past summer... Officer cook and Lt. Osenbruck are really nice guys and very helpful and are well informed on gun laws, dont be afraid to talk to them, i spoke with P.O. Cook for 30mins when i picked up my permits just shooting the sh*t, i'm suprised your having such difficulties over there. The chief retired a while ago, why hasn't he been replaced yet? My guess is there is something internally going on in the department, people are up for promotions so they may be tip toeing around these issues. Franklin Lakes has been ahead of the game in comparison to other PD's, im sure this is just a hicup. This is good to know, i need to stop in and apply for more permits, i'll stop in tomorrow and see if there around and ask them what the deal is.
  2. its called.... We don't want to bother with it, so we'll just take it out of the equation typical mentality. It's a shame they always want to take the easy way out at the expense of others. It's funny how we're more careful/professional in other countries like Iraq then we are here in the US, but then again domestic and global politics are two separate beasts.
  3. you have no idea how many people take students loans and never go to school. They enroll in classes and then drop out with 100% refund by the 2nd week. I'm actually all for this on some level, not for kicking in peoples doors and executing search warrants, but keeping on track with people taking loans and either not using the money for school or not paying it back. Other then then people do see student loans as free money and have been trying to get the government to bail them out.
  4. My only complaint is the price point. that's still more money then it costs for live. I dont play tournaments so hopefully if i don't buy into this everything will be as it has been. Thats another thing, i have no issue buying something i will use, but i dont care about half the stuff that comes with it.... i'll take the stats and maps but everything else is useless to me. I hope they have a middle ground here where there is place for people who play cod a lot but are not "hardcore".
  5. So is the UN now a terrorist group? they are trying to impede on our freedoms...are they not?
  6. I've only, so far, seen them used for referencing. If you want to visit a site or wtv it's used for u need the code to scan every time. It's good for referencing, but other then that i fail to see any significance. Like someone said its really good for converting paper into something digital. Other then that if its already digital, copy paste takes the cake.
  7. The issue can been seen from both sides, i dont need to work in retail to understand how a business conducts it's business. I have been to stores where they have treated me the same, and i have been places that took the time to help me. I've been ignored and talked down to and tell the retailers i will recommend every person i know to stay away. Me and father walked into a BMW dealership last year, as he retired and lost his company car. he wanted to get a new 7 series, it was Saturday and my father was in his yard work cloths, we were there for 10mins and not one person approached us, on our way out some guy stopped us and my father said all but too late i'll buy my 7 series somewhere else, nothing the guy said at the point would change anything, he offered many discounts, but my father doesn't work that way, if that's how they treat potential customers how will they treat you once they sell u the car. I'm just saying, if you work in retail, your job is to deal with customers, the good and the shitay. These jobs arent supposed to be a walk in the park, if some guy comes in 2 times with out buying anything is he just wasting your time, or by the third time will he actually buy. I went to ramsey outdoor many times before purchasing anything from them, but they were friendly and helpful every time and i recommended them to friends. I'll tell you right now, the people that **** and moan over 50c are sometimes the people who throw down the most cash. There people who research and find deals because there always buying crap, and sometimes they say, hey i can get this cheaper, just to see what you will say. People look for places and stores that take customers seriously, ones that are not just focused on the bottom line.
  8. Haha, where on earth did u come up with that... yes Black Berry messanger, you just snap a pick of the code instead of having to enter in your friends PIN.
  9. I don't understand how any legitimate business can turn away a customer for any reason. No store should ever claim that they can find business else where because the fact is, you are their business, you are the guy that is there to purchase. I mean for ever 5 customers that walk in the store they only expect to sell to one guy? pretty stupid practice if you ask me. The whole if you don't like the price then beat it is another piss poor policy, i have had numerous places discount me prices on transfers and other stuff, and in return i purchased more stuff from them with the money they saved me.... i just dont get it, in these economic times you need to rely on customer service.. your customers will always purchase more and stop in more frequently. It is one thing if your constantly window shopping, or walk in a store and kinda aimlessly walk around, i can see why they may no want to help you, but the fact is, put on your happy face and do what your paid to do, be a salesman, the only excuse for someone walking in a store and not purchasing something is either a piss poor sales man, or a broke customer.
  10. Hey 10 lbs!!! i can secure my AR rifle under my desk...hehe. I like the idea of these for stores and retail shops, keep the firearm out of sight in an easy access location. I would be weary of this messing up your finish tho.
  11. I've used these for BBM. Very interesting.
  12. Your stats and videos for in game play... COD used to be free, but they are now charging for it, i believe it is called cod elite. I'm not sure how it will work if you decide not to pay for it. All i know is, its freaking lame!! i have spent about 90 bucks on black ops, game+ add on's and they still want more money! they already charge 10 bucks more then other compaines for map packs, i think if it really ends up being a big deal i may not even get the new COD because of this. It kinda pisses me off too, COD fans are very loyal, and we get nothing in return but over priced game add on's. Add the fact they get to run there system on xbox live which we already pay for... I could possible see them wanting to do this on PS3 where the service is free, but cmon, were looking at over 200 bucks just to play a freaking game for a year. game + live + cod elite + wtv map packs come out.
  13. You can def. bet on BF3 having air to air combat, all of there series have a huge focus on air and ground vehicles. Anything from f-16's f-18's to Apaches and a-10's. I liked how they had huey's and black hawks too. Weapons customizations... not so much, they like to keep the classes organized so you need to rank up to upgrade the classes. They keep a pretty even balance with the ground troops.
  14. eotechs + magnifiers ftw!!! i dont have to choose between an eotech or acog anymore. Looks like there keeping the same arsenal of weapons too as the MW series.

    NJ legal?

Yes but "adjustable" is very vague in that it doesn't explain what is adjustable... other then some part of the stock is adjustable... it could be an adjustable cheek pad, or support or telescoping adjustable. If you look up the definition of telescoping, you will see that you def. of adjustable stock meets that criteria. verb /ˈteləˌskōp/  telescoped, past participle; telescoped, past tense; telescopes, 3rd person singular present; telescoping, present participle Cause (an object made of concentric tubular parts) to slide into itself, so that it becomes smaller Be capable of sliding together in this way - five steel sections that telescope into one another Crush (a vehicle) by the force of an impact Condense or conflate so as to occupy less space or time I'm not saying adjustable is bad thing to call an adjustable stock, it is in fact adjustable, but the adjusting movement is telescoping. Some companies have even refereed to the movement as telescoping and advertise stock as telescoping. My only point is that a sliding stock which adjusts to different lengths is telescoping. Do agree with the law? hell no, i think all the AWB laws give stupid a new meaning.

    NJ legal?

But they can "clarify" parts of the law that the defendants used as a defense. Telescoping to me is actually more of a better description then adjustable stock. Telescoping means to me, something that can be pushed in or pulled out(just like you would do on a telescope), adjustable can mean damn near anything. I'm surprised they were able to win that case, the definition of telescoping is pretty clear.
  17. Ramsey outdoor does not convert rifles to awb compliant. Your best bet is to call Daniel defense and ask them if they can make it AWB compliant before shipping it out. Or you can find another FFL who will do the mods for you. If you want, go to the price request sub-forum, we have a handful of dealers on here that can help.
  18. Not sure, i wonder what the states considers improper handling tho...
  19. I agree, Dead. We had a couple trees die over here from the winter which normally never had issues. They seemed to be the trees that didn't have deep roots.
  20. No way! We have our own star here on NJGF! Good show too, some of the customers creep me out but the show is top notch.
  21. Half-life is not about zombies, the creatures are from another dimension which was opened sometime before the first half-life game, and the portal became uncontrollable leading to the video game series. The "bugs" or wtv they are attached to humans and control them. FYI- i still have no idea who the hell g-man is.
  22. There is and will always be the butt of the joke....
  23. I just took a masters level virology class and needless to say it scared the crap out of me... I finished my undergrad degree but i'm still in a certification program for teaching so i had to take a class to make full time student. It really is unbelievable how viruses work, and we know very little about them. I find it interesting that certain viruses we know of now have the ability to effect specific body systems, while leaving others unaffected for no apparent reason, the virus somehow distinguishes not to effect certain cells but to effect others. It's even more interesting that viruses actually don't even do much damage to your body, its your immune system that creates the symptoms associated with a virus(most of the time). Some where down the line there is going to be a virus that evolves to take over the body, much like they take over cells now. They will shut down body functions much like they can already shut down cell functions, leaving only the barebone systems needed for operation and survival. They already found simple ways to bypass the immune system, like influenza, if a serious neurological virus was able to evolve like influenza a and b i think we could very well see "zombies" running our streets. And they might even be able to evolve into more efficient zombies there after. We may see your typical dragging its feet zombie one day, and a couple years later the typical 28days later zombie. In essence viruses would only have to evolve to effect a large scale(the body) instead of cells and zombies could very well be something in our future. It really is funny how something so sci-fi can be become real, take blackholes for instance, they used to be front and center in the sci-fi community, worm holes and all that fun stuff, 40 years later and guess what, there real, and not only that there are billions of them. They may not come in an undead form, where u need to shoot the head to stop them, they will be ALIVE, but zombies non the less.
