  1. Ehh maybe... criminals aint to smart tho... to them a gun is a gun... besides when ever i see those gang shows on TV they all rifles and pistols.. I was thinking someone got into trouble and lost there right to own them, and therefor tried to hide them for a rainy day.. Actually there was a gang show on just last week and this guy had a remington .308 with like a 3-9x scope sitting under the cushion in his couch.... when asked why he had it.... Ya kno man, ya kno, you cant have to much protection man, you kno what i mean, never enough protection man... he had rifles and pistols in every room of the house. no matter how impractical the firearm was, to him it added to his security.
  2. LOL, what a horrible place to try and hide your guns.... a foot deep? for one, we get alot of rain and they could be washed away, and second a drought would easily uncover them..
  3. I would say no, in that they make it very difficult to obtain the permits in the first place. And yes, in that once you have the permits you dont want them to go to waste.
  4. Ahhh got here too late! i was gonna say it sounded like an over heating issue.. I have had this exact problem when the fan burnt out on mine.. When you get lines on your display that are fuzzy, 99% of the time its over heating, its more noticeable if your playing a video game as the 3d engine goes haywire and the lines on the screen make you go cross eyed. Driver issues usually just give you an error and blue screen, and if a driver is damaged it usually will not work at all. Another good indication of overheating is when your machine runs fine after boot, but after 10mins starts giving you problems. I have since started to use a program called speedfan which lays out all of the temp sensors in your machine. A big issue with laptops is where the fan ducts are located.. My sisters laptop fried itself when she left it on her bed and the air duct was restricted.
  5. Yeah, and games are on servers not host games like COD, you can save your favorite servers and jump right in when the game loads. Even better certain servers can make there own rules and change gameplay options, with active admins who kick worthless players. Games also load back to back so you don't have to sit in lobbies and wait between games like COD.
  6. Dude, nothing beats getting a squad together jumping in a black hawk and reigning terror on a 5 square mile map. COD is your typical QCB first person shooter, it has no where near the magnitude of multiplayer perks that BF2 offers. If you have actually played BF2 and used most of what the game has to offer you probably would know the difference. I know people that have played BF2 and never knew what a squad was... thats 50% of the game right there. Add in the specialized classes that actually do stuff like demo, supply and medics, you really get into what warfare is all about. People dont understand that COD is a game that you just play, BF2 takes skill and strategy, you need people on your team who contribute more then just running around shooting, you need to take out head quarters and artillery, provide cover fire and transportation for other team members... Some games i jump in an Anti-aircraft tank, and sit in one spot just shooting down planes and helis, some games i run the black hawk and fly squads around, some games i'll just cover one flag with a sniper rifle, some games ill be a medic and just revive team mates, some games ill just resuply troops, the list goes on and on. having diverse squads in probably the key to the whole game.. Like i said i play alot of COD so obviously i enjoy it just as much as you, but it is definitely on a whole different level then BF2. My favorite was the attach choppers like the Apache, i could spend hours in one of those with a co-pilot. plus 12 player multi-player vs 64 players.... thats what i call a real battle! i never got into the bad company series so i cant really comment on it.
  7. Yes, you can download them expansion for free!!!
  8. No offense but BF2 will kick any COD game's butt, and that game is close to 6 years old. I play a lot of COD so i can say this with out bias.
  9. Agreed, i played BF2 for years and it triumphed multi-player. At one point i believed the hype that they would not make a BF3 and i was really upset. Bad company was good but it lacked some key elements BF2 had. When i herd about BF3 2 months ago i got really excited and i cant wait...I all ready starting to upgrade my PC for it. This video is actually a continuation of the trailer they released not to long ago. I need a medic!!!! We need to start a NJGF squad!! not gonna lie i got a little excited when i saw that eotech on the LMG.
  10. Abuse is definitely the correct use of words here. I took a small piece of 2x4 to the barrel to get it off.. getting it back on took significantly more force. I can see where it needs to wear on the barrel at the 2 points the frame fits snug at the front and back. I'm pretty sure the hook piece on the spring needs to wear in for the bolt, ive been using a pin punch to tap it down. It just seemed so unnecessary to use such brute force. Tight tolerance i guess.
  11. I have a question... how many times did it take for you guy to take the MkIII apart to get it to disassemble smoothly? I can get it apart and back together easily, but i have to use some serious elbow grease. I have to whack the crap out of the barrel to get it off and seated back on. And i have to tap the bolt out, pulling on it just tares my hand up.
  12. You don't have to be a natural born citizen to vote. And i cannot imagine how you could be a productive member of this society with out voting. It is one of the most important aspects to being part of this country. We do not hold our own citizens to such standards, and it's a shame. I think its great we let people enter the country and many come here to become citizens. Even better when we reward people citizenship for proving their worth to this country like you. I'm just wondering how you make it 20+ years in this country legally with out being granted citizenship... or being kicked out... Either way, the states regulate our freedoms especially the 2a, so our rights are more like privileges. Here's something i found. http://www.vrolyk.org/guns/alien-laws.html
  13. I was under the impression the 2a didnt apply... From what i had gathered as well not all amendments apply. My question is and what i was implying... if you've been here so long and gained legal residence, why not become a citizen? I didn't mean to imply that you had no rights what so ever. There are quite a few cases circulating this issue too so don't be so quick to call me wrong..... Whether the issue is right or wrong to me matters, to them it doesn't they read what is there and determine if it applies to you. I would hope they win and prevent a cascade with other states... With the increase interest in background checks i would be interested to see how this pans out.
  14. I'm not sure what exactly there suing over? If your not a citizen.. then what grounds do you have to claim rights? It's not the people of this country....it's the citizens of this country. I would work on getting my rights first before falling into this mentality that they are entitled to rights for one reason or another. Right or wrong doesnt really matter in this case they need to prove why they have the right to have a gun, and the 2A doesnt mean anything in this instance.
  15. Eh, i'd rather spend the $2 on a pair of real safety glasses then $300 on a pair that do nothing but look good. I wouldn't down play the fact of safety either, if your glasses don't meet safety(impact) standards i wouldn't expect them to do anything but protect your eyes from the sun. I've shut my trunk on a pair of safety glasses and they bent slightly. My ex dropped her bag from waist height with her gucci glasses inside and they shattered.. probably from all the junk in there. If you had something go wrong right in front of your face i'm pretty sure you would rather have a 2 dollar pair of safety glasses protecting your eyes. Hell, you could get a $300 dollar pair of safety glasses that look just as good... I'm gonna stop preaching because there your eyes to loose, but people cant read your post and think standard glasses will protect your eyes in the event your eyes need the protection. If only you knew what went into safety glasses and the different levels of safety offered. I'm sure those designer glasses are shatter proof(sarcasm), i for one dont plan on picking out the pieces of plastic that were supposed to protect my eyes in the first place.
  16. lol, eye protection? I'm sure those gucci glasses meet safety standards..
  17. No one wins when there is compromise and it hurts both sides equally. When your looking at the big picture compromise means altering the end result you wish to achieve. This isn't bargaining, where you set your goals high in order to achieve the middle ground you wish to achieve. The NRA is trying to reverse the compromises we have made in the past. When we go for the middle ground we loose out every time the issue is brought up. At first you loose half, then you loose half of that, and then half of that and so fourth. Having concrete ideals values and virtues with no compromise not only shows dedication, but it shows a no BS attitude that we need.
  18. The M9 is an FS hence why they look the same. The m9a1 is an fs as well. The 92a1 is NOT an fs or a 92 for that matter, you cannot take a 92 slide and put it on a 92a1 like you could on a m9a1 because of the thicker slide.. not sure why they did this but like i said the 92a1 is more of an upgraded 90two.
  19. You can get it with 3-15rd mags, but they are the standard ones not the sand resistant ones that come with the m9a1.
  20. Reading through some of the stuff, Kopple seems to have fallen victim too the idea that criminals follow the law...
  21. Stack-on has the same available options at the same increase in price. I have the 10gun stack-on pick it up for 200 bucks, I have it loaded with ammo guns and gear, probably weighs close to 900lb's. No one will be able to pry it open unless there using the jaws of life, cutting it open would be the same with any safe just need the right tool for the job. Burglars will be there to snatch and grab, they plan on spending no more then 5mins in the house to begin with let alone spending that time on trying to get one item open. The biggest problem with the safe is getting it somewhere bolted and having enough weight in it to keep them from walking away with the whole safe. The safe itself is very well built, i have over 1000rds of 9mm + 2 pistols and 2 mags sitting on the top shelf and it doesnt even bow. The dial is smooth and so is the locking mech. it also looks great.
  22. There used to be an exxon station down the street from me which always had abnormally higher gas prices, i brought my car there for oil changes and one day asked about the gas prices.. he basically said exxon was trying to screw him out of the franchise. It took 2 years but they finally closed because no one went there for gas.
  23. Some towns have a stamp which takes all but the time to stamp the permit, my town requires the cheif to initial the extension, if he's there when i stop in he does it right then and there, if not i have to wait a day or two.
  24. I was just talking about this with someone yesterday! i hadnt had time to look for the site which streamed the video, but thanks for finding it for me.. lol.
