  1. Saw one at the little shop down the street from central Some other site about a month ago for $799. Saw one a couple days ago at harrys for $1299 i thnk.
  2. I have an old CZ model 27 in Kal. 7.65. Is 7.65 compatible to a 9m? Was thinking about taking it out. Also if anyone knows how to shut off auto/predictive text please let me know how. It has taken me 15 minutes to ttype this. Thanks.
  3. My son (turning 10 in Dec) wants to get into deer hunting. My son is on the small side. I had him shoot my 410 before (it didnt fit him) and he had a hard time with it. He cant pull back any weight on a compound bow with his fingers either (tried a couple youth bows this weekend). So, I was thinking. 1. Youth compound bow with a release and hope for the best. 2. Youth single shot 410 or 20 ga. and hope the fit of the youth gun isnt as bad as it was shooting my gun. 3. Crossbow. So, what have you guys had success with? Thanks, Bip
  4. A friend of mine tells me that it is illegal to bring hand guns into PA to go to a shooting range there. I find that hard to believe. Anyone have the facts?
  5. Thanks guys, all the clips are 10 rounders. I've been sitting on over 500 or these for years not knowing what to do with them. Glad to hear they are legal. Now I need a gun that can shoot them.
  6. Is it legal to own 30 M1 Carbine ammo? Isnt the .30 M1 Carbine banned in NJ? Does that mean the ammo is too? Thanks in advance.
  7. Assunpink is shotgun only and steel shot only. A NJ hunters license is needed to shoot. Colliers Mill is for .22 long arms, shotgun (lead OK) and muzzle loaders. A NJ Hunters license is needed to shoot. I have been to Colliers about 6 times in the past year and I have seen a LEO there twice in that time. The last time I was there (about 2 months ago) I got kicked out for not having a valid hunting license.
  8. I like this one for your short gun. http://wilsoncombat.com/new/shotgun-standard.asp
  9. I'm looking for a full size, reliable, drag through the mud, work horse of a .45. I have had my eye on the Ruger SR1911 and the Ruger Exclusive SR1911. Anyone know anything about these? Also, what are some of your favorites that would fit into my criteria and maybe some suggestions of how to narrow my search down? Price- UNDER $1k Thanks, Bip
  10. I have a few low-mid range field guns that I bring out trap shooting few times a year. I do so-so with them (50-60% hit rate). HOWEVER...I have shot a buddies BT99 on a few of those occasions and hit in the 70-80% range. The BT99 like other trap specific guns shoot high so you dont have to cover the target and it really makes a huge difference. They are not too expensive and are super tough guns. HOWEVER....because the BT99 is a single barrel and shoots high, there really isnt much else you would want to do with it. I have thought about purchasing one for a while now, but to pay $1K for a gun I will only shoot a handful of times isnt happening for me any time soon. Check out the Bt99, sweet guns.

  12. Can you sell bayonettes too without any restrictions? Thanks
  13. I just happened upon a bag of old knives (pen knives/hunting knives/swiss knives, etc..) that I have no need for. Was planning on hitting Columbus flea market in a couple weeks and would want to sell them. So, are there any legal ramifications I should know about before putting them on the table? Thanks.
  14. It is a luger (found out it was a 9mm today). It shot great. Kind of weird that the last person that may have shot this before me was a Nazi. My dad got the gun when he was still in high school which was in the mid fifties and had never shot it. Also, my 1st time at Shore Shot, people behind the counter were great and gave me the NJ Gun Forum discount, but the place was a mad house. I was hoping to have the place to myself, but it was far from that. I was still able to get into a lane no problem. Good experience overall.
  15. I'm going to the range tomorrow (1st time in a long time). I'm bringing the 2 revolvers that I have had for nearly 20 years. So, I have this WWII Luger (Code 42 Dated Chamber) with matching clips and a nice holster that I have never shot that was handed down to me by my dad who died some years ago. The questions about that are- 1. Would you guys be shooting this? It looks like it is in very good condition, but I am skeptical about shooting it for some reason. Is it a shooter or do I put it back in my case? 2. Any idea what caliber this might be? I "thought" I found it in the Firearm Blue Book but there are so many different versions I cant be sure I am 100% correct and it reads 9mm. However....I could have sworn my father said it was a caliber I wasnt familiar with, but time has blurred that memory. You think the guys at the range would readily be able to tell me what caliber is in? 3. I take my permit paperwork with me in the cases of my 2 revolvers. A. Do I really need to? B. Does the Luger need paperwork to be transported? Thanks for your time. Bip
