  1. I don't use one, (don't even own a 22/45) but I know it's very popular for Steel Matches. I think Brianenos.com has a bunch of good threads on it. Gunnutsmedia also had a blog article many moons ago about building a .22lr race gun using a 22/45 and they listed a few RDS's.
  2. This is more or less going as planned, NJ just doesn't seem to realize it yet! The only way things will change is if SCOTUS drags NJ kicking and screaming.
  3. You've moved from defending the way a shooting disicipline is run at your club, to criticizing other clubs facilities unrelated to that discipline. On a lighter note, SCFGPA IDPA gives you pizza also!

    Tebowie

    I like Jimmy Fallon, and I lol'd.
  5. .338 Lapua out of a relatively light rifle. Ouch. For pistols, GlennP's loaded-over-max .500 S&W Mag rounds. Christ.
  6. Don't take the interwebz word for it. If it isn't too much of a drive for you, you ought to give it a shot (oops pun) just to make your own call.
  7. By stating there's a fine line, I meant to suggest not that it is difficult not to cross it, but that we don't often place enough importance on what it means to cross it. Your statement is correct although it doesn't sound like a typical forum post, it sounds as though you carefully considered what you wrote to prove your point. Typically, forum posts don't contain the same level of self-awareness. I don't mean for this post to sound contradictory to yours, I'm just trying to explain my position better.

  9. I really can't stand this sort of mentality. There's obviously logic present and we are all very grateful for any pro-gun attitudes in NJ, but it also presents a sort of fail-safe for poor behavior/performance. Just to play devil's advocate, we haven't learned anything new at all. The only thing that has been added to the discussion is your side of "He did this, NO she did that!" arguement. Neither the OP nor you have given us any proof. Overall impressions of the Bullet Hole seem to be at LEAST split 50/50. I find it hard to believe that 100% of the people who post negative experiences are lying about what happens there. I support the "Vote with your dollars" mentality, but convenience also plays a large part. Not everyone has the option to go somewhere else with their money. They also are most certainly allowed to vent if they have an unpleasant experience. We must also keep in mind that there is a very fine line between venting and slander.
  10. THIS IS A LOW LIGHT MATCH, BRING YOUR FLASHLIGHTS To shoot you need to pre-register with Tom Richards [email protected] Be there by 11:00! Who's going?
  11. Never had a good experience there. Once called to ask if they had a Right Handed Serpa holster for a p226. Guy said yes we do just one left, I said can you make sure it's actually there and not just on the computer screen since it's a bit of a drive for me. He said yep he was sure. Drove an hour there and low and behold it's a left hand model. Ugh. 1.5 hrs back with traffic.
  12. What a piece of junk. Without the folding stock all you get is a wannabe Steyr TMP which isn't great to begin with. No improvement in accuracy, or stability, why even bother? The only possible use I could fathom is for a G18c style autopistol if you used the folding stock model. Clearing double feeds looks like it would add 2 seconds or so at least.
  13. 1. Dryfire 3 days a week, no exceptions. 2. Qualify as SSP Expert in IDPA 3. Bench 235 (I'm weak I know) 4. Run a half marathon 5. Take 4 people shooting who've never been before.
  14. +1. Heavy enough to dampen .380 SD rounds, light enough to forget it's there. Excellent trigger, excellent sights, conceals well and it looks DAMN sexy.
  15. Wednesday night is SCFGPA members only, Sunday is open to all as long as you've pre-registered.
  16. But... putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger isn't a mistake borne from overconfidence. Hell maybe it is, he must have some huge balls to be that confident.
  17. If I'm not shooting the Shotgun match, about what time might I be out of there (after helping clean up of course)? Supposed to catch a train to NY.
  18. I plan to make the trip out tomorrow morning, I didn't know if I'd be able to so I haven't emailed Ronald. Is that going to be an issue? First time USPSA shooter, but I've been shooting IDPA for a year or so now, Static Steel once or twice.
  19. Uhh near me it's been a steady 3.40-50 for regular. 3.15 sounds delightful.
  20. I might be in, looking to dip my toes in the USPSA pool.

    Got my Rhino

Everything I've read with regards to recoil was very positive. Love that low bore axis. It's certainly prettier than a glock!
