  1. No this should be a National issue for them.
  2. I mailed my app in on Tuesday, so the PA Attorney General will probably close the loophole within the next month.
  3. It will be difficult to overcome this judge's decision. Mr. Purpua never applied for a permit to carry in New Jersey, and never stood in front of the judge and said it is my constitutional right to have this give it to me. It is difficult to argue you have been denied a permit to carry, when you have not asked for one.
  4. The SAPPA lawsuit is at the federal level in District Court. A lawsuit to the New Jersey Supreme Court directly might be in order.
  5. This guy is local and does all kinds of printing. http://www.gmprintwear.com/ I do not know if he's 2A friendly, but he prints all kinds of stuff.
  6. You are correct. There will still be a court fight to get our rights. The SAPPA lawsuit just got a whole ton of free ammo.
  7. The point is the Supreme Court says we all have the right to carry unless were a prohibited person.
  8. So if you're not a prohibited person, and you're not carrying in a court or school building, you should be good to go.
  9. On about page 56 of the Heller decision, the court finds who can and cannot carry, and where they can and cannot carry.
  10. Again, correct me If I am wrong, this case becomes monumental for New Jersey. SCOTUS has told Massachusetts, that the Second Amendment, Heller and McDonald decisions are to be applied with strict scrutiny. The Heller and McDonald decisions gives guidance on who can own, and carry 'arms" and where they can and cannot be carried. Massachusetts law, and New Jersey law, and 3 other states violate the Second Amendment, Heller and McDonald decisions. I think SCOTUS is telling the District Court, and individual Circuit Courts, to apply Heller and McDonald as reported.
  11. Vlad, Not trying to be argumentative here, as I do not profess to be an expert on SCOTUS proceedings. My understanding of this decision is that all 8 justices found the ruling by the Massachusetts Supreme Court to be so flagrantly wrong no oral argument was required. Isn't that more of a smack down than even letting them argue their point?
  12. How is this not a real decision? The order of the Massachusetts Supreme Court was vacated. The Heller and McDonald decisions were upheld. The case was remanded back to Massachusetts to be tried in compliance with the Heller and McDonald decisions. This implies strict scrutiny. So, how is this not a "real decision"?
  13. Dwight, In case you have not seen this decision from SCOTUS here is a link. http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/15pdf/14-10078_aplc.pdf The rational for the decision supports your lawsuit.
  14. Keyboard commandos who don't understand the 2A, and the natural right to defend one's self and property.
  15. Your math is correct, however there are simply not enough interested gun owners to start with.
  16. Changing public opinion is a good idea, however, given the small number of interested gun owners in New Jersey it would take forever to effect any real change. Newtonian's idea of getting Pro 2A people elected to office, is probably the fastest and best way of changing the political climate. There is a post in the NJ2A , section, by MadeinAmerica, who is running for sheriff in Ocean County. If he is a legitimate candidate, trying to get him elected may be the first step in showing the Democrats and Republicans in this state, we are serious about change. Baby steps. First, one candidate at a time.
  17. It is not a stupid question. There is nothing stopping the future governor or the legislature from changing anything at any time. Maintaining our 2A rights will be a constant battle in this state.
