  1. I work at the Kimber plant in Yonkers and see how they make these guns. All I can say is you get what you pay for. The workmanship and materials used in a kimber are unlike any other firearm out there. We have a 6 to 11 month backlog on orders now, tells you people are spending the money to get them.
  2. would be locked up of course, just wondering if anyone was ever pulled over and found to have a long gun in the car, if they got hassled...
  3. I see that Cheaper than Dirt has some good prices on these new Henry AR-7 Survival rifles that brake down and store in the stock. They look like a good rifle to have as a extra store away. Anyone have experience with these guns?
  4. I know this has probably been discussed before, but after going through the laws on the books in NJ and going through a lot of treads here, I see nothing that should be illegal regarding carrying an unloaded rifle in my car even if I am not going to the range or work, etc. Any reason anyone could think of why I could not have an unloaded rifle in my vehicle? (I have a FID) (That is as long as I am in NJ, could see there being an issue if I forgot about it and got caught in NY)
  5. Link did not work, is there a IP address? Passaic is the worst, took me, plus everyone I know over six months and they are as nasty as can be when you apply.
  6. If you are interested, I live in Bergen county also and have a legal Saiga that I can sell you. Factory new, never fired with 10 round magazines, case, ammo etc. Would be a lot cheaper than getting it through a FFL. Let me know if you are interested-
  7. A lot of firearms are sold through this site?
  8. Looking for the best place to sell a new Saiga to individuals without fees in NJ. Anyone ever sell firearms on places like upillar, gun auctions or a local gun show?
  9. still looking for a Saiga?

  10. I actually got a Saiga 7.62X39 a while back for a friend who was going to get his NJ purchase card but does not look like he is going to get the card. So I have a brand new Saiga with three magazines (10 round), a carrying case, 1000 rounds of ammo and eyes and ears, everything brand new still in the original packaging. Might have to sell it all now, anyone out there interested? Will have to calculate the total cost but should be around $800
  11. I was in for a group buy on a bunch of IO 7.62s when we heard from the FFL that the state was banning them and recalling any that were sold. So I simply got my money back and bought a saiga before they make those illegal. Really hope that one day this state wakes up from their liberal dream and gets sober. With the knee jerk reaction to the Arizona shooting, I doubt that will happen anywhere anytime soon. Of course if anyone in the crowd that day was carrying a concealed weapon, odds are they would have taken him down before so many people were shot.
  12. 13. I use a guy in Lincoln Park, the Ace hardware store. Can find his name and number if you like, pretty cheap in comparison to the others I looked at. I'm going to play around with one and the other is already spoken for....
  14. Got two in fact, from Mississippi Auto Arms, $339 each
  15. Will check it out, rather not pay $25+ for additional magazines, thanks.
  16. Just bought a out-of-the-box Saiga 7.62X39 rifle which came with a factory 10 round clip. I will probably need to get a few more clips, should I just go with the factory ones (a little expensive) or are there any other brands out there which will fit without any modifications and are under 15 rounds? And are there any suggestions on who sells them the cheapest?
  17. thanks, will start doing some research on who sells them and where to get the kits.....
  18. And your current one is compliant with NJ laws? Wow, may have to take on a new project then. What is the best place online to buy a basic Saiga model? Heard the NJSP are cracking down hard now on AK rifles, Paul at Arms n ammo isn't even selling or dealing in them at this point.
  19. So you would go with the Saiga converted and get the 10 round mags to be compliant in NJ?
  20. Know where to buy a Saiga that has already been converted?
  21. Need something for a doomsday scenario, reliable and powerful plus fun to shoot, that's why I was looking for an AK. Plus I have a ton of 7.62X39 ammo. Where would I even be able to buy a Saiga these days?
  22. Heard the NJSP are starting to crack down on anything that may even look like an assault rifle so I think it's time to get one before it's too late. I would like to get an AK type 7.62X39 with a pistol grip for under $500, any suggestions where to look or who to talk to? Thanks
