  1. Hello Everyone, My brother and I went yesterday to Cabelas in Delaware and found an amazing looking Henry Golden Boy in .17HMR. I decided to purchase the rifle and after giving the salesmen my firearms card and drivers license he came back and informed me that they cannot sell me the rifle since it exceeds 10 rounds. The salesmen was very polite but we told him we believe that only applies to semi automatic rifles but after looking up the exception I found that tubular magazines in .22 caliber only are exempt and it does not apply to other caliber such as .17hmr. However, it was also talking about the ruling on semi automatic rifles. Does anyone know if other caliber rifles in a lever action can exceed the 10 rounds? Its strange since I called one gun shop in NJ and they have the rifle in stock but when I go to Gallery of Guns it says its restricted. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Here is the article on the law: https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.anjrpc.org/resource/resmgr/evan_nappen/complying_with_nj_s_mag_ban-.pdf
  2. Thank you everyone for the feedback. I am curious why do you not recommend upgrading to that stock? I seems to be a quality product and I really like that it folds. My brother has a 590 with the magpul furniture and its certainly is a quality product. I just wanted a trimmer package since the magpul stocks are large.
  3. Thank you for the response. I am curious what did you think of the stock? Was it a quality product? I also appreciate the offer on the stock but I currently do not own an 870.
  4. Hello Everyone, I recently purchased a 590a1 shotgun and wanted to change out the stock to a FAB Defense Tactical stock. However, I am not sure if it would be legal since this stock both collapses and folds to the side of the firearm. Thank you for any advice you could provide. Here is a link to the stock: https://www.fab-defenseus.com/online-store-1/Tactical-Folding-Buttstock-w-Cheek-Piece-for-Remington-870-Mossberg-500-p115834607
  5. This is not a cleaner but gun butter is very nice oil.
  6. I was wondering anyone know if the Remington Model 870 TAC-14 is NJ legal? That is a really cool shotgun! https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2017/05/jeremy-s/new-remington-model-870-tac-14/
  7. Hello Everyone, I am looking to sell my Glock 23 to my brother and upgrade to a Glock 35. We both have our FID Cards and pistol permits what would he need to do to legally purchase the firearms from me? Any advice would be appreciated!
  8. Newtonian thank you for the advice. I am certainly not giving up and I did start applying a while ago just have not had much luck. Also shortly after the company I was working for closed my dad died very suddenly after a heart surgery so everything has been a mess and is now starting to get back to normal considering the circumstances. Having done a lot of freelance work and I totally realize that networking is key. Do you perhaps know of any quality gun shops in the South Jersey area? Thank you for your advice!
  9. Great idea. I have actually been applying to a number of companies in the area with a number of industries. Good idea to check out the tool industry. Lots of those businesses should have an e-commerce presence.
  10. Great advice! I have been sending out my newly created resume along with a letter of my work highlights to a lot of gun shops and stores in the area but most either do not respond or are not looking for work. I worked a lot of freelance in the past but its hard to maintain a steady income but certainly anything at the moment would help. Perhaps it might be best to visit these companies in person to see if I can get anywhere. However, I really need something that will pay well. My last position paid a very low wage and its nearly impossible to live on. Thank you again for the advice.
  11. Golf Battery, I appreciate the help, thank you!
  12. Thank you everyone for the help regarding the legality. I was wondering who preformed the compliance work?
  13. Hello Everyone, Over the past two years I worked as the Web Manager for a sporting goods store in the South Jersey area which specialized in firearms, firearms accessories, bows and archery equipment. The company recently went out of business in mid October and since this time I have been looking for new employment opportunities. My role as Web Manager included created an e-commerce website, updating the company website, creating online advertisements, facilitating the transfer and compliance of a new point of sale system and the setup of an online booking system used for booking defensive training classes. I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies within the South Jersey area which specialize in firearms, tactical gear, defensive training and/or defensive training products? If so, could you please provide the name of the business and/or contact information? I would like to send them a correspondence to see if they are currently offering any employment opportunities. I really need to obtain employment soon since my unemployment will be running out next month! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Thank you for the help! How about the Ketec Sub 2000 Version 2?
  15. Thank you for the help. Does anyone know if Ruger makes a NJ legal version of the charger?
  16. I am in the market for a new handgun and I was looking at the Ruger takedown charger. Does anyone know if these are legal in NJ? Thank you for the help! https://smga.com/p-104351-ruger-4918-22charger-22lr-takedown-pistol-10in-bbl-matte-blk.aspx
  17. There and pros and cons to both styles. Digital watches can cram a lot of features into the design since they use a screen to display the information. Analog watches are great since they have a high range of visibility and can truly be pieces of artwork.
  18. Thank you everyone for the great information. I ended up getting the Casio GSHOCK Rangeman in black for Christmas. So far I am really enjoying the watch and it seems like a great value for a little over $200 dollars. I realize that this model has been out for several years and they are pushing the Mudmaster watches but in my eyes the Rangeman has some better features such as being solar powered. Now all I need to do is learn how to operate all of the features. Thank you again for the advice!
  19. Thank you everyone for the help. I was comparing the G-shock Mudman and Rangeman watches and they both seem to have nice features. I have two friends who are contractors/firearms instructors one uses a Casio Pathfinder and the other a Luminox. Is there a major difference between the two brands? I should rephrase what I am looking for I want a watch that is tough to stand up to the elements and tactical training but has features for outdoor use which can include navigation, sunrise/sunset, moon phases, tides, temperature exc. Also battery life is very important. Thank you for the help!
  20. I would agree that there is not a true mil-spec for watches. I was just looking for a watch which would be extremely tough and contain several features which would be useful on the range. One watch I was looking at is the The Casio G-Shock Rangeman GW9400-1 Have you heard anything about the rangeman. This model is a bit older is there something more modern with the same quality of toughness?
  21. Thank you for the recommendations. I have been looking at the gshock watches but there are so many models. I would assume they are not all made the same. Is there a new model of this watch that is military grade?
  22. Hello Everyone, I am looking to purchase a new watch which can be used during firearms training. Would anyone have a recommendation for a modern watch which is military grade tough, modern and has a lot of features? Thank you for any advice you could provide.
