  1. Hello Everyone, I have been looking at a few different budget pistols and I am trying to decide what to purchase does anyone know if this model of the Ruger Charger is NJ legal? http://grabagun.com/ruger-4924-charger-22lr-15r-td-blk-poly.html Also does anyone know if the EAA Windicator is a quality handgun for the money? https://www.slickguns.com/product/eaa-weihrauch-windicator-357-mag-2-barrel-6-rnd-nickel-finish-32299-999-sh Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
  2. Well new executive orders. Not sure if its considered a law.
  3. Hello Everyone, Thank you for the help. I put in the paperwork today and the clerk said it will take about a month to get back. She had mentioned that they were really starting to get a lot of applications. I assume this is due to the Obama's new laws.
  4. I could be wrong but what they are doing sounds illegal. You already have the FID card.
  5. Heavyopp, They do use the online format. They were located on the sheet DSD1026 and they provided their own documentation directly from my townships PD. I plan on going over there tomorrow to drop off the paperwork. I hope everything goes well.
  6. Hello Average Joe, Thank you for your help. I submitted the background check tonight. Do you know how long it takes to obtain the results? Will they email me or will the township contact me back?
  7. Thank you again for the help. I am curious why I would need to have my fingerprints redone? Years ago when my township took my finger prints they were digital so they should still have them on file. I filled out most of the paperwork you recommended but I am still unclear ORI number. I will try to call the township tomorrow to find out about this portion of the background check. Thank You!
  8. Hello DSD1026, Thank you very much for the help! I plan on filling out these forms today and submitting my permit tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful day.
  9. I upped my budget a bit. I am now looking between $250 and $300. At this point I am leaning toward the Bersa Thunder Combat or SS.
  10. Hello Everyone, I am looking to obtain a handgun purchase permit and since I have not purchased a handgun in a while and I was wondering if anyone could go through the steps required to obtain the permit? I already have the FID card and all I am needing to do is go through the handgun permit application process. I remember something about a mental health check form, money order for the police and I believe another form. I also think the process has changed over the years and something has to be paid for online now? Can anyone clarify this process for me I would appreciate it? Thank you for your time.
  11. Hello Brucin, I am actually not new to firearms and I work for a gun shop. However, the shop often does not deal with surplus or very inexpensive firearms. Due to my low budget I wanted to explore what the NJ Gun Forums community would suggest. New it looks like I might be able to afford an LCP or a NAA revolver. Does anyone here own a Tokarev?
  12. Thank you everyone for the help. I understand $200 is a very low budget. I was actually thinking about purchasing a Romanian Tokarev or a North American Arms Pistol in 22 mag. The problem with the Tokarev is the ammo availability is it even possible to find this ammo locally without special ordering online? Looks like a cool gun though! The NAA looks like a quality novelty pistol for the money but its also a 22 and I usually like more firepower. Does anyone know about the double tap pistols?
  13. Hello Everyone, Thank you for the advice. I am going to put in for my pistol permits but I have not applied for a while. Does anyone know of the new procedures? I heard something about paying online for one of the background checks? My budget is low at around $200-$230. Can anyone recommend anything good around that price range? I am not a fan of double action guns but revolvers, semi auto and powerful single shots would be highly considered. Thank you everyone for your help!
  14. Hello Everyone, I recently obtained some money for Christmas and I was looking into purchasing an extreme budget firearm to target shoot with at the range. I already own a Hi-point carbine and really like the firearm due to the price and accuracy. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their pistols. Are they accurate and reliable? The model I was looking at is the 34010 DD which is a .40 S&W in desert digital camo. Thank you for any advice you can provide.
  15. The shot might be thrown off due to the dominate eye. I have your girlfriend check out this video. I hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1octhtJQfC8
  16. We used to belong there years ago I was unsure if it was open again due to the legal issues over the years.
  17. Good response but it does the address the issue of confronting terrorist attacks. The NRA should be pushing for national conceal carry for all states.
  18. I have never been to it but what about the Christmas play at Sight and Sound Theaters in Lancaster?
  19. It hard when people get older and have physical conditions. My grandfather is the same way due to hand strength. He ended up purchasing a revolver and has a ruger 10/22 rifle which is easy for him to use. You might even want to look at a bolt action rifle to see if that would work easier for him.
  20. I think California and DC are worse than NJ. Regarding NJ's gun laws this state is horrible! They prosecute law biding citizens using stupid laws which did not harm a single person.
  21. Hello Everyone, Here is Banger's Sport Shop Black Friday sales. http://bangerssports.com/files/2015/11/Bangers_Black_Friday.pdf
  22. Brucin, Actually freshwater bowfishing is legal while saltwater is not. Go figure its NJ! LOL!
  23. Hello Siderman, Thank you for your questions. To clarify bowfishing and spearfishing are two separate sports. I found a video on YouTube which demonstrates how bowfishing works. This company and video has no association with Save A Clam I just thought it would help you understand the basics of bowfishing. If we passed saltwater bowfishing in NJ the fishing would likely take place on boats in the shallow waters of the bays during the migratory season of the Cownose Rays. My understanding is rays swim up the coast in huge packs during certain times of the year. The problem is NJ has a lot of clam fisheries and the rays have very few existing predators. These animals go to the fisheries, eat the clams out of the cages and destroy the cages by flapping their wings. They also destroy the underwater grasses. To provide a solution my boss would like to legalize bowfishing to cut down on the population. You can also eat the rays so they would not be a wasted food source. I hope this helps to clarify some of your questions. Please let me know if you have any questions.
