  1. Nice catch! Anyone interested i have 4 Abu Garcia salmon rods. New, never used, 8' or 8'6" all casting rods. Looking for $40 each OBO. Pm me if interested
  2. Try koble calls. Guys name is mike koble, lives in NJ and makes them in his woodshop in South Jersey. They sound amazing amaking and are the most affordable custom calls
  3. Sounds like an odd request but bare with me... For my friends wedding, part of the groomsmens boutaineers will be involving spent shotshells. she wanted pink hulls with high brass that is steel or nickel, rather than brass colored. we can paint the hulls but silver paint does not look like chrome. i have been looking everywhere and can't find anything. i even went to cabelas and peeked in the box of any shotshell i thought might work. shot size is unimportant since the spent hull is what is needed. if anyone knows for sure of any nickel or steel high brass rounds i would be very appreciative.

    $179???

PSA has them for $230 and it comes with a $30 gift card http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/firearms/shotguns/ati-tacsx2-12ga-18-5-bbl-tactical-semi-auto-shotgun-atigtacsx2.html
  5. i was at cabelas in PA on 8/30 and bought a bunch on of herters .223 for $6 a box, federal 3"mag pheasant loads for 22 and herters .40 for $16. i saw a used wood mossberg 500 in 20 guage with 2 barrels and a scope for 275. i REALLY regret not getting it to make for a perfect nj slug gun.
  6. as per my understanding, the NICS will go through before the 31 days. the NICS is just a check, it is up to the dealer and purchaser to make the prudent decision to wait. when the copies get sent to local PD and NJSP they cross check your file and see if there was 31 days. but regardless of 1 day or 100 days, the NICS will clear. this is just my understanding of it though... i could be wrong... (just ask my girlfriend)
  7. BAL66 from verona, just an FYI, i got a call this morning and picked up my permit shortly after. i'm M. my friend is S and he also got his today. so I would definitely call and check
  8. As far as I know, and according to Det. Harrington he does all of his firearms paperwork on fridays. he had a pretty massive pile and seemed overwhelmed by it. obviously verona is very small town so I doubt he's ever had this much firearms paperwork at once. your best bet is call up and ask the status. he may have done it and just not had a chance to call but he's usually good about that stuff. VPD is 239-5000 and the detectives direct line is 857-4821. Also, since i wasn't too concerned with L (no offense) I didnt ask if he had them all or just one or 2.
  9. i saw the pile of approvals on my Det. desk. he has up to L. I'm M
  10. oh good, now you'll only need to wait another 14 business days for NICS to clear when you find a gun you want... just waited 3 business weeks for NICS for a lower. hopefully my PD will have my PP soon. what letter are you?
  11. you're correct, and even though it's a religious holiday, many businesses are closed as well as all public schools that are not on spring break. not really sure about government offices though. I'm M and in verona, really hoping this isnt bull. Verona does their processing on fridays, so mchosi1, let us know ASAP if you get a call from Det. Harrington
  12. i think i call at a bad time because i only get voicemail when i call her :wild:
  13. i've been waiting since early october, i don't give a sh!t what order it's in, i want my PP, now! lol thanks for the update mchosi1!
  14. Thanks EMT, I already knew this but I wasn't sure if i was missing something. Thanks for clarifying! maybe we'll see some paperwork being processed soon, finally!!!
  15. mchosi1, I also live in verona and have been waiting for a pistol permit since early october. our town detective in charge of firearms permits is a great guy and a family friend. according to him on friday, there are 60 premit/fid checks for our township. he has the actual permits ready to go as soon as he gets the green light. when i asked about the 30 day policy only applies if there is not an ongoing investigation and apparently due to damaged records this is considered on going. i like this guy very much and trust his very much, but i have never heard of this "ongoing investigation" rule. maybe someone can enlighten me or is he just blowing smoke?
