  1. Check out Alessi's Bodyguard shoulder rigs. http://www.alessigunholsters.com/alessi-holsters-bodyguard-holster-glock-guns/. They are a family owned business maker of custom holsters are known for the quality of their holsters which are used by many government agencies. Not the most inexpensive but great quality and people to deal with.
  2. Lou's is great. I have worked with Chris, Marshall and the owner. They enjoy what they do, know firearms and will go the extra mile.Their Inventory and prices are very good. They are willing to special order and help you build a firearm that is right for you. For example, I I rarely use a bolt action rifle but they helped me put together a great set up and saved me a bunch of cash because of their kmowledgeable recommendations. They even took the time to bore sight my rifle after putting the scope and rings on it. I keep going back and they always earn my repeat business. While at Lou's I see them treat customers with respect even if you are still early in the buying process and buying an inexpensive item. The store gets busy and sometimes you need to be patient...it is worth the wait. I highly recommend them.
  3. According to today's Star Ledger, Sweeney is making his move on the Governor's office and Gun control is part of his platform.
  4. My Mosquito is a newer model and is reliable when fed CCI MiniMags (recommended by Sig). I get 1-2 FTF/50 rounds and 1-2 FTE/100 rounds. CCI minimags are hard to find. If I had to do it over, Iwould've gotten a Buckmark instead.
  5. IMO we need a strategy for the June primary that goes beyond Sweeney in District 3 and should involve the help of NJ2AS working with NRA.
  6. How about one that has a shorter barrel and doesn't way too much?
  7. 627-5 PC is a great all around handgun. 8 round capacity has a "surprise factor" for a revolver if the other guy is counting (same capacity as a 1911), 357 or 38 special. 5 inch barrel and performance center action is phenomenal. It is great for targets and home defense. Revolvers also don't jam, stovepipe or FTE. I love mine!!!
  8. 22LR single shot rifle age around 8. Co2 pellet pistol around the same time. Shot bottles and paper in the NY catskills. Love at first sight.
  9. Election day is rapidly approaching. Please take the time to review NRA ratings for candidates and consider supporting those that are 2A friendly. Some bills are being proposed to add "training requirements" for citizens seeking firearms. NRA sent an alert on this last week. The attacks will get worse when Christie is gone. We need to used the political process effectively to maintain the limited rights we have already possess.
  10. At the end of the day the gun control media campaign that Bloomberg and his minions cooked up generated dissension..."a divided house can not stand"? We need to work together on these issues come election day. We all need to get this right. It is vitally important.
  11. Just got a phone survey comparing Booker to Bell. The questions were leading and set up to make you favor Booker.
  12. Booker is spouting the Bloomberg party line. I don't take him at face value.

  14. I also have a sig mosquito sport and have no problems with it using CCI minimags as recommended.
  15. Mea culpa if you see this on the Sig forum. Just received my first really fine holster, an Alessi CQC-S. I am finally moving to Florida from NJ. Got my concealed carry permit and want some really good gear. I had the basic plastic roto holster from Sig but it was just OK. After looking online it looks like Alessi has been proudly making awesome holsters for about 40 years in Buffalo, NY in the USA. (www. alessigunholsters.com. Email [email protected] and phone 716-932-7497) Tom the owner and associate spent a lot of time to helping me. I was not just a one time sale for them. They made a customer for life. They talked me out of spending on some stuff and figure out what I really needed. For example save by using my holster for a P220, 229 and 226. Ditto for mag pouches. Tom is a sheriff and NRA instructor and knows his stuff. Workmanship is first class. My holster has sharkskin trim and Buffalo nickel military grade snaps. I couldn't get the snaps closed at first but called late Friday and Tom explained these are actually military snaps designed to prevent your holster from getting yanked off in case of a scuffle. They are used for police applications. The pistol fits like a glove, is comfortable and the cant is right on. I have an order in for more holsters since it takes a few months to get yours made. Work is custom made and quality takes time. Just wish he could ship me some real Buffalo wings. I went to school there and ours don't compare.
  16. Thank you for your thoughtful response. It is much appreciated!!!
  17. Anyone have a 9 and 45? Opinions on the rifle in these calibers (not the rounds). Not looking for the old 9 vs 45 debate
  18. Now is the time to act. Get NRA lobbyists, a war chest and support for the right candidates. Bloomberg has been puliing the strings with the press and his messaging. There are publicists that do this for a living very effectively. We have been on the defense too long. The best defense is a strong offense. The system can work if you use it. Sweeney and Greenwald with their minions have gone too far. How the heck did they get away with stopping a roll call when it wouldn't pass to get it along the process? Sounds totally illegal to me. Sweeney is also attacking Rutgers. HIs collateral damage there might be useful. "Your enemies enemy is my friend" NJ2AS has done a really good job but maybe we can leverage them, NRA and some other pro2A groups BEFORE Christie is gone.
  19. Thank you. I wrote them. On business in Texas in December and will apply for my CHL when there.
  20. Read today's Star Ledger. As expected, they aren't going to give up after Christie is gone. Greenwald and his minions are really on their high horses. The only real solution is to vote them out.
  21. Called and left the thank you message with an aide. Wonder what the other side's next move is gonna be now?
