  1. I developed a small painful red lump and swelling on my left palm near where my hand pushes pistol magazines into the grip. Maybe I have been using too much force when reloading? Anyone else have or hear of such an issue? Hope it is just a tendonitis and a didn't chip or break any bones. I shouldn't have watched so many action movies. Those folks slam their magazines in when they "lock and load." Input from LEOs or competitive target shooters would especially be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Browning BPS

They are smooth and beautiful but cleaning a Browning BPS is difficult. You need three hands. The owners manual says it should be done by a smith.
  3. Done. We already have the strictest firearm laws and haven't addressed the real causes of unfortunate gun violence. I pharmacist in NY and NJ. As a student intern in a bad area in NY, my life was saved by our owner who had a carry permit (every pharmacy owner I knew had a carry permit). In NJ, that owner wouldn't have had a permit and I wouldn't be writing this today. I am sure my story is not unique. 2A means you shouldn't even need a reason for CCW but in NJ even if you do it may not make a difference.
  4. +1. LIsts may be a slippery slope. Recall the articulate testimony of a Pro 2A school teacher last year at the NJ Assembly hearings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGbXlRSsE8g about lists and negative aspects of gun control in history.
  5. Lous is great. They treat you like family even if you are still still undecided. They know their stuff, prices are great and have a lot of inventory (both new and used). Willing to special order. Always learn a lot when I go there too. They outfitted me with a Rem 700/Scope set up and saved me a lot of money by recommending a great Konus scope.
  6. Detective issuing them suggested I get it laminated.
  7. Always had a great experience with Lou's. They know their business, have always been helpful and go the extra mile. Prices are great. Special orders are no problem. My last order was a Remington SPS tactical 308 and Chris spent a lot of time with me. He recommended a less expensive scope that is a great value, bore sighted it for me and mounted everything for no charge. Marshall is just as nice. I saw him treat a guy buying his first 22 like he was royalty. No high pressure. Let him leave to think it all over. The advice he gave was spot on too. Lou's ammo prices are a bit high but I shop online for my ammo. They also have a nice selection of good used guns in the back and a lot of inventory to browse.
  8. Great guys and service. They will go the extra mile for you and are willing to special order. Prices are very competitive.
  9. I love my P220 Stainless Elite Carry. It is like the center fold pistol in the Sig lineup, beautiful (rosewood grips are classy) and a great shooter. You can get 10 round magazines for it too (when they become available again).
  10. I did too but don't see them helping at the meeting today. NJ needs help so it doesn't turn into another fiasco like NY did. They have a huge building and look of staff. We need their help NOW!!!
  11. We need NRA to help with this too. It is like dominos. NY and now NJ. Just took the lifetime deal but don't see any action from them. I also joined NJ2AS and they were at the front-lines.
  12. Just wanted to give two thumbs up to Lou's Firearms in Raritan. I have made several purchases there. They have always given first-class, informed service at competitive prices. The associates Chris and Marshall always go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. They have a great selection and are willing to order what they don't have in stock. The atmosphere is wonderful and they make you feel at home. There is no pressure and they know their stuff.
  13. Sig 220 stainless Elite is great. Also check out the HK USP 45C
