Does anyone have experience with this round? Are any pistols manufactured in an all steel version? I'm looking at a Sig 229 and I think it's an aluminum frame. Thank you in advance.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving. Nice pic Parker.
  7. Thank you for a great deal.
  8. it's a whole lot worse than folks can fathom just watching on TV. Thanks Wojo. I tried to tell one of my friends that he might be in a state of shock, but he got a little agitated so I let it go. It's two weeks now, I get to go home to a warm house but these folks have no power yet and it may not be restored for ???
  9. WOJO, I was there yesterday as well. Did you happen to notice the parking lot for the beach? It looks like the Pennsylvania dump from years ago. Lots of activity since right after the storm. Thank God. Did I run in to you yesterday morning at the Hess station on 33? I BS'd with a guy going to Breezy driving a black pick-up.
  10. I am not a learned guy, that said, Civil War leads to USA to having a modern standing army. Tactics, and a willingness for battle from a relatively new nation. Industrialization and means of production. I read somewhere years ago, you'll know better than me, that most people thought the Civil War or War of the States would quickly resolve itself. People from Washington rode in surreys to view the first battle were horrified when they witnessed the savagery of the opposing forces. I'm thinking Campbell but I may be wrong, I remember a scene from one of the battles, which I will recall at a later date marching toward the CSA forces through an open field toward an entrenched and fortified enemy and pity from the victor. Killing en masse and wondering when the NSA would surrender. In any event, my thoughts are that the War bought in to being a modern Army. Add 50 years of tethered angst and let it loose on foreign soil is arguably reason for America becoming a Super Power or at the very least an equal amongst all the World Powers. On a personal level any War in which you have a vested interest is the most important. Thank you for posting, and to all that replied.
  11. lots of problems in bklyn still. PD must be on site if you get a gas delivery, simply for crowd control. People want order, not chaos, some folks are getting really fearful. NG was standing by in Queens, Day 2 and were welcomed in devastated Breezy, Rockaway, and Belle Harbor. I don't care how it happens but they need beaucoup gasoline deliveries, to settle down people's nerves. There is plenty of food if you can get to it. Did you ever see a calm New Yorker on TV? Subway riders are actually glad the trains are moving, grateful even. I guess the Mayor has his reasons, not saying I agree with him, not saying I disagree with him, that's too easy when I don't have to pay the price for making decisions. Want to make a difference? Get a gas can, drive to NYC and give it away to someone, it'll blow their minds. I offered gas to complete strangers and they gave me that ' what angle are you playing look'. Stunned in to silence. Did you ever see a silent New Yorker? No, I didn't take money, that really sat well with the fellow. I'm going to do it again today. It's a new game, Shock the New Yorker with Kindness. I'm getting a little too cute here. There are plenty of desperate people who need help, Nancy Reagan, " Just Do It "
  12. Cheyenne mountain fall sale coming up soon btw,I just got the flyer.
  13. I'm heading over to visit, never been, but when you're up and running let us know. I always loved those places. It's like buying and collecting tools at Sears. Giant toy store for men. I still think I have a few can openers, p9 ?, that I didn't need, but how the heck can I get by without one. WW II gas mask, go figure. An old army duster that could house a small family.
  14. It is ironic. Most followers of all cults and fringes don't know their leaders are elitists. Rosy in her heyday, anti-gun except for her bodyguard.
  15. I was there again and Coney Island Hospital still has no power. No gas stations, and there are many problems. The good news is Bloomberg is eating regular.
