  1. I sent mine in appox 3 weeks ago.....haven't heard back yet........I thought I saw somewhere some people got their checks already.....I'm going try and double check that. (Update:...Just called Andrew Tyler Foster, et al. v. L-3 Communications EOTech, et al. Administrator- as per the rep. who picked up the phone stated that the Final Hearing is at the end of June and that I will prob. see the check in the Fall of this year!......)

  3. When my wife goes for her FID, we'll see how long it takes....when I got mine, it took 6 months!
  4. Aristoi I was excatly in your postion a few years ago with the same options of handguns...I'm also a big guy with big hands. After trying many handguns I ended up with the XDM 45 acp for HD and the CZ 75 Sp-01 .....In MHO the CZ fits like a glove in my hand, it seemed like they made it specifically for me, lol. It was and still is a dream to shoot, EXTREMELY accurate, ggood weight, for me, and almost has a 1911 feel to it but in a more modern design. Anyone who has held and fired a CZ Sp-01 will understand what I am saying. Not knocking any other brand of gun or anything...but the XDM and CZ was the way to go for me......In appox. 2000 rounds threw the CZ it hasn't jammed or FTF once..the XDM is also a great gun, also accurate, great design and was surprised that for a 45acp did not have as much recoil as I thought it would have...just my 2cents.....next handgun to my small collection WILL be a 1911.
  5. Congrats on help making some changes in the UC process. I live in UC also and went through the extensive paperwork process a couple of years ago. I never thought about questioning it at the time because to be completely honest I didn't know any better, but have learned alot since then . It took me MONTHs to get the purchase permits. I have to admit though the officiers and clerks were always pleasant and answered all of my questions. .....the wife is thinking about getting her FID now, I'm glad the process is a little easier because of people like hardlife_nef.
  6. I would never participate in one of those "Cash for Guns" programs, I'd rather give them away to friends and/or family...I was just curious to see if the state of NJ would take them as "firearm" and to see if I was the only one that thought it was ridiculous ...it def. defeats the cause and is contributing to the government agenda to disarm it's citizen with the "programs"....
  7. If NJ Gun laws consider a BB gun or Pellet gun a "Firearm" (same as a 9mm, 257, 45 etc.) .. Can I turn them in for cash when a town offers the cash for guns program?.....
  8. Thanks for all the info and advice, I will def. do the rust bluing and take a look/research the gunsmiths you recommended......Anthony, George and Midwest.
  9. I recently received a 1961 20 Gauge Browning Lightning Over/under shotgun......It's a beautiful shotgun but I want to get it re-blued and refinished.....I was wondering if anyone knows a place I could take my shotgun for theses services.....Thanks in advanced.
