  1. I thought the hardest part was drilling and tapping the turnion for the bullet guide. The trunion is very hard and if you work too fast an/or don't clean the shavings as you go along, it becomes very easy to snap a bit off in your trunion. That would not be fun to repair. Otherwise, the conversion is pretty simple.

That's the part that makes me the most nervous. Can a bullet guide be welded in? Not to hijack

  2. I think the main reason I like it so much is the ergonomics....

I'm considering an additional light in my gear that is "brighter" on a quick detach mount because I can see the value in something obnoxious "just in case"... But on a daily basis I stand by the inforce unit especially considering how smooth it is...

I like the idea of a super bright light on a qd mount. Keep it in my go bag.

Have to agree the ergonomics on the wml are awesome and I like the simplicity of the momentary only pad. I have it on a 45° mount and it's in the perfect spot

  3. For HD instances I find it perfect. Light, simple to use, anf bright IMO...than again I don't have a ton of experience wwith weapon lights...I think 200 lumens and the simple design are great. A tight beam of light that'll do anywhere in my house.

Just finished my first build, which my buddy from the forum MarkWVU02 guided me through. Thanks to all of you I was able to do my homework and had no surprises in putting this together. I read, read some more, took my time and purchased tools/parts when they went on sale, Black Friday, etc. The end result is the bottom rifle in the above pics (the top belongs to MarkWVU02) As soon as the brake is pinned and welded , I’ll be hitting the range to put down as many rounds as I can before my finger falls off.

Big thanks to everyone here, I couldn’t have made the decisions or the balls to tackle this build without you.

  5. Here's a description of a Crossman air rifle from the Walmart website. How is this for English? It reminds me of the Chinese restaurant guys singing in the "Christmas Story" movie... Fa Ra Ra Ra...

With its shots of steel BB or powerful lead pellets, the Crosman 2100 Classic .177 Caliber Carbine counts amongst some of the leading names in air gun. Well equipped with 200 measures of BB in its reservoir, the air gun rifle ensures continuous shooting over a prolonged period without involving the hassle of reloading. Enclosing a rifled barrel, the gun exhibits pellet velocity of 725fps and BB velocity of 755 fps. It just needs one loading to suffice a prolonged phase. Gearing to the mechanism of variable pump the pneumatic pellet gun of synthetic make is known for its adaptability. Prior to using the rifle, is important to go through the users manual for necessary acquaintance with safety and other precautionary measures.

    That's ridiculous...thanks for the laugh

  6. I'd recommend Keen boots as well. An american company. Very well made boots. They also donated a couple of thousand pairs of boots to volunteers and victims of Hurricane sandy. I'm wearing a pair now (it was awesome getting new boots after spending 5 days volunteering in my old boots).

  7. It's probably different in the small towns. But there's no doubt that southerners are more friendly. Morgantown could have been somewhere in Pennsylvania, or even upstate NY. That was my impression.

Could be because a huge percentage of the students in Morgantown are from NY and NJ although I have to say I met tons of friendly people in Morgantown. "Morgantown, WV, a drinking town with a football problem" Unfortunately our problem was the football team haha.

  9. Got me a vtac 2 point and really like it.

Liked the ms2(which I have for sale in the marketplace) for a 1-to-2 point sling. I just don't see me ever really using a one point sling.

As for connections it all depends on what type of sling. I like the QDs but for a hook or clasp the asap or tasco ambi plate works well

Didn't see your add in the marketplace. How much you want for the MS2 and what color?
