That's about the best you can do. For the most part it is a none issue, but as always there are exceptions to the rule.

I still drive only Domestics. V8 RWD passenger cars and 4X4 trucks, but I like to work on cars. Lol

I wish buying a new vehicle always meant you knew it's history but unfortunately that is not always the case either. Also sound advice on buying used. Service records at the very least are a must but knowing the person/vehicle is a huge plus.

X2 - Grabbed the mags and ammo for the .45 and got to the range and the gun had the .22 conversion on it. Oops I "suffered" through using a friend's P220.

No one is arguing with you, you are arguing with yourself in your own posts. LOL I also never said BCM was better than Colt. If I had a choice between the two I would pick Colt every time. I like what BCM is doing and so do a lot of other people. He is building one heck of a reputation among some pretty elite shooters. Is some of it Commercialism? Sure probably, but there are a few others who I doubt would stake their name and reputation on a sales pitch. Your second post was better because it addressed your concerns and backed up your original statement. I have never shot a BCM (Middy or Carbine) FA and I don't doubt your experience.... However, I have shot a few BCM middy 14.5's with various pinned comps with .223 PMC Bronze and I really like them. I have even shot weak .223 with an H2 buffer in it with no problems. Also the OP never once mentioned using this upper for FA, probably because like the rest of us he can't.

I too have a UTG and two harris bipods. I never had any trouble with any of them.

No doubt about that. You can apply that to other things in life as well.

So it malfunctioned once in auto with weak .223 ammo and it is BCM's fault. LOL What gas system, What barrel length? There are lots of knowledgeable forum members here, maybe they can help you to get it to run.

Depending on the Dept. and what they are doing some LE vehicles run fictitious plates.
