  1. From a realistic stand point, not necessary. HOWEVER I love them and I want one bad! Mine will just be an irons only range toy. I have a complete lower, upper receiver, BCG, CH, and hanguards just waiting in the safe. All I am waiting for is a deal on the specific barrel I want. What barrel did you use?
  2. That's not too DEEP at all. We all need that mindset. It is very much about protecting our hobby and I agree that at HG, it was far too easy to do this. I am fortunate enough to be able to shoot on my own property. It is not uncommon to hear the sound of gunfire on weekends in the surounding properties. I have never had a single complaint against me while shooting on my own property however I still split time at many ranges both private and public to sort of "spread it out" so to speak.
  3. Alot of times I revert to humor Igor. I am sorry if I offened anyone that was not my intention. I agree there is nothing funny about this. I find it deeply troubling that this individual thought this was the only way out. Somewhere tonight there may be family and friends that are grieving the loss of a loved one. I hope this person rests in peace.
  4. I agree that obviously the chances for this happening are much greater at a public range with these type of rules, but I would not go so far as to say it couldn't happen at SOME private ranges.
  5. Not sure how you came up with that but HG is in front of Club Mohican (SP?) and I know there was a shooting there back when I was in High School. You got moved ahead of The Punisher on my list and you call that hate? LOL
  6. I think you were blocking my parking spot! I was wondering why folks were standing around looking shell shocked in the parking lot. Smokin 50's bark is worse then his bite, I bet if you PM him he would be willing to help you out.
  7. Yes I think it is sad that someone killed themselves. Of course I am not the resident puppy kicking, cop hating, I got an M16A1, NJ guy livin in PA (cause you can move the guy from NJ out, but you can't take the NJ out of him) MIPAFOX you just moved ahead of The Punisher on my favorite ficticional superhero list. Good Show!
  8. Happened about 5:20. They said store was closed. Then Ambulance and three troopers showed up no lights. They told everyone to leave obviously. I missed it by 10 minutes. Thank God.
  9. Uh, No thanks. I heard a "Pitbull" version is coming soon as well. It will have a special castle nut with little spikes come out around it and a stock that looks like the body of a dog.
  10. Checking for water in the fuel is part of any preflight inspection. That is not something new. Light aircraft are equipped with fuel drain valves. The wing sumps are checked as well as the belly sump to identify if water is present in the fuel.
  11. Yes I know, there was an STC for it. It was a '69 Cessna 182 Of course the FBO didn't like it. We made up a trailer with two 55 gallon tanks, electric fuel pump, fuel hose, and a nozzle I too used to run a mix of 100LL AG and Sunoco 94 in my '69 Z-28 with the 302.
  12. Just an FYI, We used to run automotive pump gas in the airplane!
  13. Paul, Weren't you afraid you were going to get a ticket with no mufflers?
  14. After vehicle is out of warranty, I use Amsoil and their filter and change it 25k or 1 year whichever comes first. I used to be a non-believer too, but experience has changed my mind. I run non-synthetic Rotella 15W-40 with GM engine assembly lube as an additive in the race motor.
  15. 1st week Sat is no good but Sunday could work.
  16. wweng, Don't take what members are trying to tell you as criticism. They are trying to help you. You will have better and more consistent results by doing what was recommended. If you have a specific reason for your setup and/or are happy with it "as is" then by all means enjoy.

    Filthy 14

That DD is top notch as well blksheep! The thing that got me hooked on BCM wasn't just filthy 14 though. Paul at BCM is held in high regard by the top instructors and industry insiders and that spoke volumes to me. I doubt I will ever meet Paul and he will probably never know who I am but I try to support him and his company as much as my budget allows.
