  2. +1 on the tobacco its the soldiers friend. Skoal Long Cut(straight, mint, wintergreen), Copenhagen, Redman, Marlboro's, and Newport's. I cant imagine being deployed away from civilization with out access to tobacco. Makes you feel normal, sorta... US Army 1990-1993
  3. the "event" this guy is talking about ( the one he uses in his ads to get you to listen) is the dropping of the US dollar as the worlds reserve currency. and he believes that will lead to hyperinflation and then "the end of america".
  4. Hi all I'm saying hi after lurking for awhile. I like the mix of newb's and old guard RSO types on the forum, joined by the indignity, and inconvenience of being a Lawful NJ gun owner. anyway I was at Shoreshot today picking up my Almost NIB S&W910 and I was hoping to shoot it at the range today but, SS was so busy I would have wait longer then I had (life intrudes). Is it always so busy on an early Monday afternoon?
  5. 1. Application type - just one Permit to purchase 2. Police Department where you applied. Point Pleasant Boro 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. who ever was sitting at the dispatch at the time 4. Time taken to issue permit. aprox. - 33 days (2/14/11 - 3/18/11) 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). None 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). None. I had a winning bid on gunbroker (used s&w 910) and the pistol was at my ffl already, so I went by the PD on 3/14/11 to see if my PP was ready. They were very nice but said "please be patient and wait we will call you when its ready". they called just a few days later, cant complain about that
  6. hey that's around the corner from me. whats the dinner cost? is it formal or casual? will they have a speaker? who is it? (you can tell I don't know anything) ok I found the link and I think I would like to go to this event
  7. check out this link to Kurt Hofman's blog, talks about possible executive order http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-st-louis/forcible-citizen-disarmament-by-fiat-when-separation-of-powers-gets-the-way?cid=parsely#parsely
  8. On the radio today I heard Glenn Beck hypothesize that the president could use an executive order to create new firearms legislation. I dropped a WTF! out loud when I heard that. I hope that the executive branch is not considering that method, it would be so wrong.
