Thanks for the helpful responses! I am looking into all of the suggestions and reaching out to the clubs for more info. My time at CR convinced me to go "full spectrum" so now I shoot pistol, rimfire, shotgun/clays, archery, and centerfire. I have a NJ rifle, shotgun and bowhunting permit but have never been on a hunt as my friends from home are not into game...just guns. I just put a free-floated target AR together for distance shooting so the 300 yard ranges are attractive at the big clubs......but proximity and price are certainly considerations so I have some more homework to do. I want to thank you again. Wherever I end up I really look forward to making some new friends and becoming a better marksman. So far my interactions on this board have been helpful and rewarding; I can't wait to join a club again!

Howdy! I am a NJ retread and am looking to join a club again now that I am back. I used to live up north and was a member at Cherry Ridge, but now I live near Princeton and CJRPC is much closer. Of the members who have shot at both I would ask, are the facilities comparable? Does one have more benches/lanes for hi power rifle than the other? Do I need to pay that huge one-time fee plus dues at CJ? Which is more crowded on the weekend? Is CJ staff and members good people like the ones I remember from Cherry Ridge? Which is better, 5.56x45 or 7.62x39......j/k.... Thanks for any help, comments or nasty remarks.
