Interstate transport falls under the FOPA a federal law. What you proposed to do is completely legal. Once you enter NJ, NJ law applies and so long as your mode and place of transport to are permissible under NJ law you are good to go. It is up to you if you want to obtain a new NJ FID card with a new address. You only need that if you plan on purchasing guns in NJ and picking them up in NJ and/or ordering ammo and having it shipped to NJ as most online vendors will require a copy of your NJ FID or purchasing ammo at a range in NJ that you intend to shoot not at the range you purchased it from. There is less hassle in purchasing firearms in Fl and having the ammo shipped to your Fl address and bringing what you want back to NJ.

It's been fun---but---its time to go--hello Fl and Palm Beach County. We have had enough of NJ's insane and ever increasing property taxes, municipal assessments, income tax, sales tax, internet market facilitator tax, business taxes, etc--with really no end in sight. I have also had enough of NJ's constant passage of anti-gun laws which makes a difficult situation even more difficult. I expect even further restrictions in NJ in the future. I do see right to carry relief from the Supremes in 22-23 but even then it will be years before it is fully implemented here--because NJ will simply enact expansive laws applying the sensitive place doctrine where carry will be prohibited I do wish all of you the best and do intend to check in from time to time to see what's happening. Safe measures 27 1/2" H x21 1/2" w x 18 1/1/2" and has removable and adjustable interior shelf. Also has 3 1" steel l locking bolts. Ideal for pistols and ammo etc. Safe is in excellent condition. Approximate Weight is 80 lbs and can be bolted to floor.
