It's amazing these morons in Trenton can pass these laws, then WE, the PEOPLE, have to pay for lawyers to fight for OUR rights, AND we pay for the OTHER SIDE via taxes! We get fooked both ways! If any of these laws get over-turned, those that proposed them AND voted in FAVOR for them, and those that SIGNED them, should be fired! Damn these politicians make me sick to my stomach!

Seems the rest of the country is watching this fiasco. I called to buy 10 15 round mags for a new gun I have coming, they wouldn't sell them to me. Somehow they already knew about the new law and I was a day late ordering them! I bought 10 rounders, same price, but just sucks.

So, hypothetical question: A perp breaks into a house thinking no one is home. But wait, mama is home with her young pre-school age children. She quickly draws her husbands spare weapon (he is LEO) and shoots the perp right between the eyes! Great right? Well, maybe she has no FPID card, HIS gun has a 15 round mag that she can't touch, PLUS that was an illegal transfer. What happens...... Shit, we know what happens. Is a pop rivet a legal way to limit a mags capacity? I did this to a CZ mag to limit it to 15. Had to dremel the frame a little bit by the magwell to let the rivet head slide by, but works fine. If it is legit I guess I can do it at 10 rounds next........

#3 is an issue. I can sell my friend a gun if he has a valid FPID card with a matching NJ DL, no NICS check. We both do a 4473 and keep a copy. So now they want me and my buddy to go to an FFL so they can do the transfer and the NICS check? Don't know if we "normal" citizens can actually call in a NICS check, so it ends us doing face to face transfers...........

So the POS named Annette from District 20 is so proud of her first bill to limit the mags to 10, has now co-introduced a new bill to limit them to 5. STATEMENT This bill bans firearm magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Magazines capable of holding up to 15 rounds of ammunition currently are legal in New Jersey. Specifically, the bill revises the definition of a “large capacity ammunition magazine” to reduce the allowable rounds of ammunition from 15 to 10. The bill also designates a semi-automatic rifle with a fixed magazine capacity exceeding 10 rounds as a prohibited assault firearm. The bill exempts law enforcement officers from the bill’s 10 round limit on ammunition magazines by authorizing them to possess and carry while on duty a large capacity ammunition magazine and possess and carry while off duty a large capacity ammunition magazine which is capable of holding up to 15 rounds of ammunition. The bill also permits retired police officers authorized to possess and carry a handgun in this State to continue to possess and carry a magazine capable of holding up to 15 rounds. In addition, the bill exempts from the 10 round limitation those semi-automatic rifles which have an attached tubular magazine and which is capable of operating only with .22 caliber rimfire ammunition. This exemption would permit the sale and possession of a popular beginner gun, the Marlin Model 60, often referred to as the “Boy Scout gun.” These firearms are low caliber and the tubular magazine cannot be quickly reloaded. The bill limited the exception for the Boy Scout gun to magazines that hold up to 15 rounds. These Boy Scout guns are manufactured with magazines holding more than 15 rounds. Therefore, the bill removes from the definition a limit on number of rounds. The bill makes its provisions effective immediately, but allows for a 180-day grace period to transfer, render inoperable, or voluntarily surrender a semi-automatic rifle or magazine that will be unlawful under the bill.

Seems that every year Freedom Munitions wipes their database and I have to send them copies of my NJ DL and FID card. No big deal, and they are pretty polite about it. Some sites don't require anything. I am always looking for cheap shipping, and when it pops-up, like Freedom had a month ago, I load up! (Pun intended!) Oh, another thing. A few years ago Cabellas had a crazy Fathers Day shipping deal. I think it was a flat $10 for your entire order, except for safes. So I decided to see if they would meet their deal. I ordered 10 boxes of 12 gauge ammo, not 25 round boxes, FULL 250 round cases! Well, they came through! And boy did that stuff weigh a TON when they brought it to my house! My wife and my buddy used to go to Lehigh Valley at least once a month back then with me so we were burning through a lot of ammo back then!
