  1. I just want us to win this case so we can say "it's constitutional, bitches" and "law of the land" and "move on". It will be sweet.
  2. Somehow I find it hard to believe that SCOTUS will do anything other than answer the very specific question posed to them. But I hope I'm wrong.
  3. Probably still adding cases but as of now Drake is not on the April 4 conference. They hate the Drake.
  4. Thought I looked on scotusblog and it wasn't listed for the week of the 28th.
  5. I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords...
  6. I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. Next up, assault knives!
  7. My guess is the NJ Supreme Court will only tangentially reference Heller and McDonald, if only to state that they don't apply because they did not establish the right to carry outside the home. Conversely, they will reference the recent 3rd Circuit court ruling ad nauseum, which justified its conclusion by referencing previous NJ Supreme Court rulings, and the massive legal circle jerk will continue. The only hope is if SCOTUS takes up the cause. I assume an appeal was generated for Mueller.
  8. The text accompanying the picture of Greenwald goes by too fast to read.
  9. Posted an article from Reason.com the other day and here's another great one. And they even mention us. Woohoo? Anyway, backs up the "never give an inch" mantra. http://reason.com/archives/2013/07/18/why-second-amendment-supporters-are-righ
  10. Saw this article and thought it was pretty good. I love the analogy about leaving the faucet running as you are escaping a flood. But at least they are getting concealed carry. http://reason.com/archives/2013/07/11/on-concealed-guns-politicians-miss-the-p
  11. In Hollywood, this guy qualifies as a raving gun nut. Excerpted from 20 Questions with Armie Hammer (star of the supposedly awful Lone Ranger Movie) in Playboy magazine: Q18: You and your wife once bought each other guns for Christmas. Are you a big gun lover? Hammer: I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a gun lover-- I'm a gun appreciator. I appreciate their function, the way they've evolved and the mechanics of them. I'm not sure I think anybody should be able to just walk into a gun store and walk out with a gun, but statistically, if you look at places where people are most armed, there's less crime. I'm by no means advocating a completely armed society, but at the same time, I appreciate the recreation of guns. Going out and skeet shooting can be a fun, adrenalized time. My wife and I were supposed to go skeet shooting on our first date, but it started to rain so we ended up going to a bunch of art galleries and then a porno store instead. Better than nothing, I suppose. He did live in Texas for several years, according to his bio. Maybe that did it.
  12. Indeed we did. It was one of the many Aegis BMD-equipped ships we currently have.
  13. Or you could rack the slide like Tom Cruise did in Valkyrie where he placed the top edge of the slide against the edge of a table and pushed down. Thought that was pretty clever when I saw the trailer. His character only had one arm or the use of one arm.
  14. Haven't seen any reference to this in the forums: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/06/12/gun-control-bus-tour-newtown/2415519/ Interesting how they are not divulging its route ahead of time. Gee, I wonder why? Would be a shame if something were to happen to this bus, like engine trouble or repeat flat tires that kept it from going anywhere. And how much do you want to bet this thing will be protected by armed security? Would be cool to get someone to admit that on tape. Or just say that's the case, who cares about the facts. Can always make it legal by adding the old question mark to the headline-- "Anti-gun Bus Tour Protected By Armed Security?"

    Gun Comedy

It continues for a bit longer than this video. There's some good stuff after that.
  16. For those of you who have Netflix streaming, check out the first five minutes or so of Bill Burr: You People Are All The Same. His act starts out with the line "I want to get a gun" and then he goes off for several minutes about purchasing as well as talking about reactions from other people. It's very funny and pretty much all of it is either neutral or pro-gun. He even pokes fun at the statistics some of the antis use. One especially good joke is the talk about preparing for "zombies" where people always tell you-- get some powdered food, grow some zucchini, etc. Well, he says, if you don't know how to fight, you're basically just gathering supplies for the toughest guy on the block. Anyway, let me know what you think. I had never heard anything like this from a comedian. And the rest of it is pretty funny too, if you care to keep listening.

  18. On the contrary, the more this idiot speaks the more people see him for the buffoon that he is. They may start to ignore his anti-gun hysteria.
  19. Question to all-- what type of investigation (if any) occurs for companies that *employ* armed security? I am sure there are legal holes here, but what would prevent you from starting your own company, and then hiring yourself to provide the CEO of that company (i.e. you) armed executive protection? Wishful thinking, or could this work?
  20. I'm sure they'll be out of jail shortly and back at the range. Not with their own weapons though, because that would be illegal.
  21. Around $300 to move from garage to basement and even bolt into floor. Totally worth it.
  22. Sadly, he will probably still get re-elected. Any way we can get some billboard space with a nice photo of this jackwagon and perhaps some select quotes from his emails and put it up in his district? And just curious, if a lowly undersheriff makes $111,000, what does the actual sheriff make? That sounds like a pretty cushy job. [Edit] Here's the billboard: Cryan: Blow and Go in 2014!
