Fixed trigger group is much better than the previous version. Cleaner break and better let off and hardly any after travel. The upgrade is a definite plus. Find the grip size and color you like and you are set. Different slide and frame same trigger. Nice solution. Get a full and a compact kit and away you go. Of course we are neutered at 10 so there is a consideration. All in all. me like, big time. It does not shoot like a Crock 17,19, 22.

OK how do I put this? 6.5 caliber is not new. The Swedes knew the ballistic advantage of the 6.5 while we were still screwing around with developing the '06. The 6.5CM was just a revisit and tweek to take advantage of a competition course of fire on the range by shooters. The 50BMG was developed as an anti-aircraft round for WW1. The 300 Winnie has only been around since 1963 and is a necked down version of the 338 Winmag and 375 Holland and Holland. It kind of was an after thought so Winchester could use their model 70 action with a belted case. 380ACP was Browning answer to a small pocket gun where weight reduction and size was key. The round is a blow back design so there is no barrel lug or lock up just the mass of the slide and bolt control recoil. Being rimless streamlined its function for SA firing. Luger and his 9mm was an improvement on the first rimless cartridge the Borchardt. Germany wanted a bigger caliber, and his thought was to include the cartridges within the grip of the pistol improving function. The 223 Remington was another rework of the 222 Remington from 1950. With the request of a new rifle for the Army this round was shoehorned and tweeked again into an idea the a smaller round with specifically defined capabilities was a better fit than the previous 7.62 caliber. The 45ACP, well a sort of SA answer to the 45 Colt. The original design was in .41 caliber but the Army wanted something equal to the 45 Colt in diameter, so the 45ACP was the answer. Oh, and that 40 Short and Weak, was the redesign when the 10MM proved to much for small handed FBI agents to use accurately. So it seems todays' popular cartridges are an evolution from a different beginning. Funny how that happens.

Most retailers that collect NJ sales tax already do, but chew on this, NJ sales tax is assessed on the shipping charges if the item is subject to NJ sales tax. So that adds another bite to the equation. Wow, and the new proposed gun licensing fees, 50 for pistol permit, 100 for FID, and a few others up his sleeve, I hope the illegals can afford the millionaires tax, because they will be the only ones with the money!

Hopefully your PODS will be on time. When my BIL moved down to Delray Beach the actual delivery date was a week later than the scheduled delivery date. He was pissed. But, the fine print in the contract let them get away with it. He was not finished up here with work so he had to return to NJ and then book a weekend R/T flight the next weekend so he could unload it. Glad to hear from you, that all is well, and good luck. I would love to move but too many strings attached for now.

There are plenty of reloaders that would have bought that bucket for more that you got at the scrap yard. You would get even more with the spent primers removed (another story). Hit us up first before doing it again, especially if once fired brass. Thanks.

And the lawsuit’s have begun! Stick that mag ban!
T Bill replied to gunforhire's topic in Gun for Hire
Amen to that. One shining light is no recent DemocRATic governor of recent history has survived more than one term after fleecing the citizens of NJ. We shall see. Hammer the State Senate and Assembly, they know where their bread is buttered. -
Wonder if aggressive pricing and rebates to move product by Remington (ROC), Federal (ATK), and Winchester (Olin) had a significant impact on their ability to move product/margins as well. With all the subs filing as well, something does not seem right.

Target Sports USA Now Requires FID Copy?
T Bill replied to medved11's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Brownells now requiring emailed NJ FID as well. -
That's because you have only ever tried crappy French Roquefort. Try something better like English Stilton, Danish Danablu, Spanish Cabrales, or my favorite Italian Gorgonzola.

Whatever they call themselves don't cut it, period.

First rule about gun club is you don't talk about gun club. Sound familiar?

There's an interesting alternative, Ruger Security 9. I have shot a Canik (not that model) and was not terribly impressed. Great price point, but other than that, meh. Still like the PPQ. Hard to beat fine German engineering.

AT is free at the Delaware Water Gap NRA, just beware of the snakes and bears, or camp at Hickory Run State Park in PA, all kinds of trails there, Boulder Field, and if you take your bikes you can ride the Lehigh Gorge Trail next door. Rafting is available on the Lehigh River but you'll need to check the schedule with vendors.

Those looking for a lower cost takedown case for their Ruger 9MM PCC and don't want to give Ruger the $80 for one, can find the same style here on Amazon for $43. Mini clays, who got dem?
T Bill replied to Ray Ray's topic in Clothing - Hunting/Outdoor/Tactical/EDC
Only place I have ever seen them offered for sale was Champions (orange) at Cabelas, expensive as well (upper twenties for 90). White Flyer makes minis (60mm) in orange or black or another type (PRO70 at 70mm) , same colors, but a little heavier for sporting clays. Maybe a clays range would sell you a box? These small targets are not "bio", could be a consideration where they get "wacked".
