Buying a car, is better to buy it outright or make payments?
JETagent replied to 70gto's topic in General Discussion
If you can invest your money and get a better return than the interest rate you are better off financing it and having the rest in the market, otherwise it's kind of a wash -
That is so cool how you can really clearly see the structure of the steel. Glad you are OK!

If its cheaper, I'de rather clean it and deprime it myself because I SS tumble. If its cleaned using dry media I'm just going to clean it again, so....kinda pointless

Jared, Due to liability, I dont sell reloads. Especially not when they are loaded to the edge (tecnically, over the edge) of max pressure. 60,000PSI in a handgun is no joke! EDIT: I am GlennP, forgot to switch accounts. Ugh!

Nees a Gunsmith for firearms that were in a fire?
JETagent replied to Joe Dirt's topic in Gunsmithing
Thats the thing, cant be sure. Plus you dont know if some spots got hotter than others. Not likely with a handgun but if its a rifle the stock may be only charred meanwhile the muzzle was roasting red hot, who knows. The whole "It MAY be OK" is iffy to me. Rockwell will only tell you hardness. Hardness isnt the only trait that you need in a firearm, it may have actually become harder but more brittle in the fire. -

Fire damage is baaaaad. It destroys the alloy of all metals involved. I would never attempt to use a firearm that was in a fire, thats a great way to get steel embedded in your face. -
Typically if its not something that I can get I wont reply. Otherwise I'de be sending out lots and lots of regrets and cluttering inboxes. If its something available usually I'll have a reply same day

Yes that was the idea Screen-name tags. Otherwise it would be pointless really, not being able to connect the real name to the online "personality"
-
Anybody doing name tags for the rally? Like the classic "Hi my name is...."? If so, any of you guys have a roll kicking around to bring? Or know where I could pick some up?

Buy low sell high. Now is high!

What happens if your wearing one and it rains? Ide imagine its fine if dries out. While wet may be less effective but I can't imagine every time a cop is rained on his vest is trash

If its just a kit, you can have it in state. It's just a chunk of metal as far as the law is concerned
-
We grind the ears down so its just a tab.

1) Your 9mm is most likely legal as long as its magazine is no more than 15 round capacity. AR-15 would need to have no bayonet lug and have either no muzzle device, or a brake permenently attached. No flash hiders. So if its not legal now you can alter it to be legal. 2) None at all 3) No 4) Yes you can legally, unless its a private range that requires FID for membership (some do) 5) Anything more than 15 rounds, and yes, a 16 round magazine or more will land you in jail. This is unless its a fixed magazine on a non-semi automatic

December Shotgun Shootout - LVSC or Clinton WMA??
JETagent replied to RecessedFilter's topic in Events & Meetups
I find that you shoot more at clinton usually, and it winds up costing more ultimately. Remember that the $38 of LVSC includes 100 targets so its really like a $28 fee. -

Smoke a cigar and the waits are enjoyable I'm totally down for LVSC.
