    Ready Aim Fire in P.A.
  1. Thanks again guys. Ill go tomorrow.
  2. Ok brass. Thanks. A shell extractor wont work since the end of the shell is still intact. I guess unless I dremel out the rear of the case. But hopefully I can find this brass rod. What section in home depot should I look in? Thanks alot guys!
  3. I was thinking about running out to Lowes and getting a long steel rod. Ok, so does anyone know why this happens? I Just can't figured out why it's so stuck. Good to know Is happened to other people. So I guess I shouldnt really worry too much about the gun being damaged from this?
  4. Barely. I can get a small screw driver in there but it just bends it. Its really stuck. Like its fused to the chamber.
  5. So i was out shooting my AR today when I had a fail to eject. The casing is lodge in the chamber. Its a .223 russian, steel case round. I have been shooting these for years now and never had one failure. To be fair though, I usually keep the gun very clean. I didn't clean it last time it was out so that might have something to do with it. Anyway, i tried a small flat blade screw driver to try and pry it out the back and that didn't work. I used the aluminum rod from my barrel brush and it just bent. This thing is REALLY STUCK! Anything else I can try before I take it to a gun smith? Any ideas why this might have happened? On another note, my buddy has a Benelli style AR and he got one stuck in his also. Both today. Now we have NEVER had any issues with this ammo before in either gun and the rounds are not from the same batch.
  6. Ok you guys are not understanding what im trying to say here. My AR has a 10in long buffer tube, a rifle style i believe. On that buffer tube is a magpul stock which is fixed to the tube. now, I have pushed the stock as far forward as possible and pinned it in place. if stock is pushed any further up the buffer tube, then the rear of the buffer tube sticks out of the back of the stock. follow me? this is why i need a shorter buffer tube. with a, say, 7 inch tube, i could push the stock all the way forward, pin it in place and the buffer tube will not stick out of the back of the stock. i just wanted to know if i buy a buffer tube kit which has the tube, spring and buffer, will i be ok with just that or do i need a certain spring or buffer or something like that. just wondering if anyone else had done this before. its nothing complicated, to hard to explain i guess. i basically just need to push the stock forward and the buffer tube thats on it now will allow for this.
  7. Cool thanks for the info guys!! Looks like I'm going trigger shopping.
  8. PK, a CAR buffer? ?How can I tell? The tube that is on the rifle is the stock one that was on it when stag sent it to me. Its a post ban AR if that helps. I was thinking I could just buy a carbine buffer tube kit with the buffer and spring and mod it myself. I want the stock right up against the rifle. To do that would have to be custom as far as I can see, unless there is a ready made tube out there for this. I thought about cutting off the back of the tube and that would work except then some kind of backing would have to be welded back onto the rear of the tube so the spring can have something to rest on.
  9. I believe its 10inches. So I guess its rifle length? If the stock is collapsed all the way, the buffer tube will stick out of the back of the stock, hence, I need a shorter tube.
  10. I have a stag 2TL with a Magpul ACS. I had to do some modding to make it fixed. I drilled and tapped the buffer tube to bring the stock in a little bit to shorten up the gun overall. My problem now is that I want to make it as short as possible but I'v reached the limit on the long buffer tube that the gun came with. The only thing I can think to do to get the desired length I want it to buy a six position buffer tube since there overall length is shorter, fill in the all the adjuster holes and tap the one hole I'll need to pin the stock into place. Has anyone else tried this? I need to know what kind of buffer tube to buy. I know I need a commercial one, but I'm unsure if I'll need another spring or buffer.
  11. whats the difference between a 2 stg and single stg trigger?
  12. what wrong with that ammo? i use the same stuff and put thousands of rounds through and never had a single issue.
  13. can someone recommend me a good aftermarket trigger for my stag 2t? something smooth and crisp maybe 3.5lbs. thanks
  14. i just got a stag arms ar 15 and i dont think the brake is welded at all. it is pinned though. i figured stag knows what they doing.
  15. Im thinking about going to buy my first AR soon. The stocks are way too far extended for my liking. So could I just "re-pin" the stock that it comes with? Would that be legal to do? I can't see how anyone would ever know, or why it would be illegal for that matter. Its just a matter of comfort.
