  1. I think the big problem here is that there are people who want to fight for their second amendment rights in N.J. but there are other outside issues of these issues that prevent them from staying in the state. I'll use myself for example. I live in Hudson County and commute to NYC every day for my job. However I've been doing the math as of late and I'm getting tired of making money only to have it A.) consumed by high taxes in N.J. for property with minimal to no return for myself. B.) Pay for a police force that does not care to defend my rights or my person (not a cop bashing statement just how I personally feel about peace officers and my personal safety). C.) Paying for person A with poor moral stature and shitty family values having five kids and not being held accountable for their decisions in life. I'm done with this form of socialism through taxation. My corporation has offices in most of the states and my position is remote if I want it to be. Why then would I stay in this state with high taxes, personally does not have my welfare and safety in mind and forces me to pay for the mistakes of others? New Jersey at its best used to be a state of pride and values however we now have a state that is nothing more than a nanny state which will continue to persist because the people that expect a hand out and receive said hand out won't change their minds to vote for a better future, they love the present and the status quo and frankly are brain washed. Nothing short of a state revolution will change how things are. N.J. is heading for a bad time unless there is a moderate for governor in two years.
  2. Hey guys I'm late to this thread but I'm on the wait list and that's not a problem. However I've never shot USPSA before and would like to just watch the match as it happens, is that possible?
  3. My brother got me a giant grumpy cat throw for my birthday. Thanks for the compliments on the AR. She's light and shoots quite accurate. Can't complain.

Build sheet: Parallax Tactical Paracomp Radical Firearms 16" Mid Length Barrel - 1:7 Twist - SOCOM Contour - QPQ Melonite UTG Pro 15" Keymod rail Damage Industries 1" QD sling attachment P.O.S Metal flip up sights (still in the hunt for a good set) Magpul AFG V2 Palmetto State Armory A3 Upper Receiver Mil-spec bolt/carrier group from Palmetto State Armory Spikes Calico Lower Receiver Mil-spec LPK from Palmetto State Armory Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard Magpul MOE Grip Lucid HD7 Holographic Sight Mil-spec buffer tube/spring/buffer Magpul Fix MOE Carbine Stock VTac Sling Hexmag. This build is ultra light for me compared to my Sopmod Block II clone. I'm still testing the HD7 and am in the hunt for a good set of irons. Overall I'm happy with the mid-length gas system and have had zero failures to date.
  5. Divorces are cheap, I know a guy $500.
  6. This type of event could easily happen in a state that is may issue. However in states that are shall issue this bad guy stands a chance of running into a good guy with a gun.
  7. That thing is plenty dirty, I love it.
  8. Water, at a class so alcohol is bad.
  9. I am horrified, yet laughing at the same time...
  10. I am happy to report that Guttenberg, NJ has decided to be compliant with the state statutes. They accept all forms pre-filled out and follow the states documentation here: http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/firearms/20141117_firearms_appinstruct.pdf I met with SGT. Hosie on 11/7/2014 and was in and out in five minutes. We discussed compliant paperwork processing and he made it very clear that there will be no forms in addition to NJSP procedures. The officer seems like a no bullshit type of person and I like that, very cut and clear. He laughed when I handed him my money order dated 7/2013 as I refused to go through the process last year when they added additional requirements. Also of note, if you are filling out your paperwork electronically do not sign the form unless you are in the presence of the officer filing the paperwork. That was on 11/7/2014, it is now 11/28 and have been waiting 21 days.
  11. I picked this one up the other day. Have not complaints so far, it's pretty thin and has a textured surface for some pretty impressive grip.
  12. Poor big bird, all he wanted to do was get high with Kermit once in a while...

  14. I'm a little late to the game her but a MSF class is a must. Farleigh Dickinson is where I took mine. Great group of guys and they teach you the safe riding techniques that will prevent accidents down the road. I started with a ZX6R. Here she is in all her glory.
  15. I object to being ranked 38th in physically active. There are many people physically active, just so happens to be from running from the cops...
  16. I've been just letting the pistol sit in the holster. I've also been wearing it around the house to break it in. It's still rigid but I feel it getting softer.
  17. Be careful what you wish for, we have always had dissenting majority votes on these issues instead of the six to three majority. There is a argument that the SCOTUS has failed to review any new cases because the cases could be overturned (SCOTUS is weird like that). I'd like to see a more radical approach, a constitutional convention. The amendment is proposed by two-thirds of the states and then the ball gets rolling from there. Currently non of the twenty seven amendments have been proposed that way but this could be a whole new ball game for states to balance out federal laws uniformly across the country.
  18. I do not think she is cross eyed dominant but we'll do the test again. If she is I'll have her adjust holding the rifle definitely, good call. I do that with all my other friends that I have converted but this week we were both busy so I couldn't get it done that way but yes I agree with you 100%.
  19. News from 2012 and it is not a shock. To be honest, who would buy the civilian models of their guns anyway? I'd rather build a AR-15 modeled after a M4 with parts from BCM, B5 systems and other manufacturers as those parts have been given lots of reviews and put through their paces by a lot of gun enthusiasts. When buying a Colt, you're buying a name. A name that uses really awesome parts in their military models and a name that uses meh parts in the civilian models. (also don't even get me started on their bolt carriers...)
