So What About The Ammo.........
Bagarocks replied to xXxplosive's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I guess my chief's wisdom was on the right track, advising to only carry Firearms that you qualify with. -
Hog I did not nor did he deny the law of any carry. I've known the man personally for 34 years, a strong 2nd amendment advocate. His words of wisdom should be used for knowledge in the process of making decisions that may one day change yer life for ever.
-
My Chiefs recommendation is to carry only Firearms you have qualified with. He also stated in his opinion that the State Attorney General is waiting to make an example of the first person to exercise his constitutional rights and defend themselves.

Sussex County Carry Permits
Bagarocks replied to GlockityGlockGlock's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I posted on April 23 of receiving my PTC. It took 7 months. So I decided to apply for out of state Pennsylvania PTC permit. I went to Pike County Sheriffs office, I handed in my papers. The Officer reviewed my paperwork and asked if I wanted to wait for the background check to be completed which could take 5 mins or 5 hours? Or just come back the following Tuesday to pick up your permit. The difference between Rights afforded and rights if we allow. -
Sussex County Carry Permits
Bagarocks replied to GlockityGlockGlock's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Finally finally finally. I received a call from the Chief today and was informed to come to the Police station to pick up my permit!!! clean permit no nuthin attached or implied. He did advise that he was of the opinion that it would be in my best interest to minimize/reduce the size of my qualification card and keep it with my permit. In his opinion, the State is just waiting for the "first" testing of our rights so they can make an example, of the consequences of legally exercising your rights to defend yerself against "fear for your life" and "deadly force". He believes if you use a weapon other than what you qualified with , (which by the way State Law allows, any you own), It will be used against you. But its a good day fer me. Thank You SCOTUS for upholding the Constitution. -

Well here it is March 19 2023 and I'm still waiting since September 10 2022. I have spoken to the Chief and he said I'm waiting on the state. Since the, I spoke to him a month ago and he was waiting on the permit printing paper. I'm wondering if its being shipped by snail from Australia. I have a good relationship with the Chief, this is very frustrating. -

Sussex County Carry Permits
Bagarocks replied to GlockityGlockGlock's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I am speaking about apps handed to Police Depts. put in limbo due to the inept legislature. Im not speaking of after acquiring a permit. Isn't there a six month window for Qualifications for the application? If so after it passes don't/wouldn't you have to requalify? -
Sussex County Carry Permits
Bagarocks replied to GlockityGlockGlock's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I received this information today from an extremely reliable source. The magistrate of Sussex County is no longer accepting CCW permits. The new law written and passed by the New Jersey legislature and Signed by the Governor has taken them out of the process (anyone familiar with the law its old news). So our State Government has essentially stopped all CCW permits in SC from being processed, circumventing our 2nd amendment rights. This new law does not include the "new CCW permit" for carrying. If you look at the permits you will see "signed by Superior Court Judge" Is anybody's Chief in their town also a Superior Court Judge? So the State has just found another way to keep us from exercising our second amendment rights. New Jersey legislature is great isn't it. So Im just wondering, if and when your qualification anniversary date for expiration comes due, Do you just have to requalify or start the process all over again under the new Law. -
in Oregon no less What's our excuse?

Considering picking up a carry pistol. Having a hard time deciding.
Bagarocks replied to GDITurbo77's topic in Handguns
If yer using a concealed carry handgun that your life may depend on, it better be the one you are most accurate with. Just pick the one yer confidence level is so high ya cant miss. -
Does anyone here have Life ins? Do you have a switch to turn it on or off? Does it only activate in areas where you may or could die? Is it only used part time? Pretty futile discussion if ya ask me. If we could all see into the future as to when and where you would need deadly force to defend your self. You wouldn't need to defend yerself cuz you would avoid such an encounter. So if you carry in a manner where only when you think you need it, ya might just get yerself in a situation where ya say I wish I had...

NJ Handgun Carry Permit Application Experience
Bagarocks replied to CJack's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
If Im not mistaken CCW's in NY are County issued, so each County may have different ways to make it easy or harder to finalize a permit. I know Someone who took 6 months to get CCW Permit in Buffalo Area. 5 year CCW License/permit, all carry guns listed on License/permit. -

Yes I did! I wasn't responding to the Original post. He did mention Deer hunting and mentioned .223 did he not? I was adding nothing more than to what you posted. -
Will my juvenile record be a deal breaker?
Bagarocks replied to Blackjack280's topic in Introductions
Expunged adjudicated records, hides the records from Public scrutiny. Law enforcement still retains knowledge of the courts judgment. even though they are expunged. -

Who can legally use a firearm?
Bagarocks replied to DubbleRNR's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
whats that darn thing say, anything you say can and will be used against you... Do you think Gerbal S. Grewel is on yer side??? Ask fer yer lawyer to be present before answering any questions. When law enforcement uses deadly force, a team of investigative and support teams go into action, with the officer usually given time to address the stressful emotional adrenalin driven episode of what just happened before making an official statement. Im sure psychiatric eval is needed to return to duty.
