  2. Here's my plain Jane standard A2 @ Range 14. Here she is @ home.. I think everybody should have a standard A1 or A2 and learn to shoot it well dont you think?
  3. Thanks Blake. It's been a while since I got behind an actual A2..
  4. LoL! I meant Fire Arms purchase. Sorry for the confusion. I'll bring some more barbecues on Saturday! BTW Steve check out what your "labor of love" did when I went to Dix and shot the DPMS! I posted it in the AR forum of NJGF. Jim
  5. People say they're inaccurate and shouldnt group this tight.. Oh well.. Went to Range 14 for some "Group Therapy".. 15 round head shot group at 50 yards with PMC 55gr 5.56.. Stock Iron sights. 45 round group shot at 75 yards stock iron sights. Finally my rifle. DPMS A15 A2 with RRA SS barrel (thank you Steve of Monmouth Arms). With my Ruger Blackhawk..Also courtesy of Monmouth Arms..
  6. Just finished a FA purchase from Monmouth Arms. Steve is a cool guy to deal with. I was surprised my Ruger 357 Blackhawk was ready for pick up! Everytime I'm there its a relaxed environment where people can talk about guns, politics and anything under the sun! Will definitely return. Steve I'm glad you liked the Filipino barbecues I bought. Say hello to Dante for me! HAHAHAH! Jim
  7. Hello Jon! Nice set up!I think I think I saw one just like it last time I was visiting Monmouth Arms..LoL! Jim
  8. Thank you for the response fellas. Will check out a&m soon as drill weekend is done. Jim Sent from my top secret interweb device using Tapatalk 2
  9. Hello there, I just got stationed over here in Colts Neck and I would like to take up archery seeing as our base has an archery range and we can hunt deer inside base property. I'm looking for a shop that sells new or used bows (compounds or takedown recurves) that I can start learning archery with. I am a novice when it comes to archery (only shot my Dad's PSE last time I went on leave) so I would like to start with the bare minimum/basics and see if I can move up from there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and have a great week ahead! V/R HM3 J. Ferrer NOSC Earle Medical Colts Neck, NJ
  10. Thanks for the reply guys. Im just at awe at how shady some parts of JC is. My first station was Great Lakes in IL and Now Colts Neck in NJ, both places are rural areas with mostly farm folks who would stop to give you the time of day. But JC?! sheeze!! My wife is currently enrolled in NJU and works at a clinic in NY so JC is the best bet I guess. But her being alone 5 days a week is quite un nerving for me. Im still trying to find a place though and any help pointing me to the right direction would be welcome. Thank you very much! HM3 Jaime Ferrer USN RCC MA/NOSC Earle
  11. I have a question and I hope this is the correct forum.Me and the Mrs. are trying to finda place to stay in the Jersey city area. nothing fancy, just a room/studio type place will do. she'll be staying there and I'll be dropping by on weekends. She'll be attending school within the area and will be working too so being near the PATH train staion at Journal Square would be a plus ( we're just starting out,no car yet ). Money is a little tight so I was thinking $500-$800/month is what we can spare. If the utilities are included in the rent, I would really jump on it! There are places popping up but by the time I'm able to check out the place they're already taken (I can only commute to Jersey City on the week ends bec of my job at Earle). 13. NJscott I will most definitely take you up on your offer. I'm looking to help out in any ways too. So if you guys got any range time and need an extra hand cleaning up or you have family days with other members on a weekend and need an extra hand setting up or cleaning the site I'm your man(as long as I'm not on call). I wanna participate in any of your activities. Just make sure my little motor bike can get to the sit( my only ride so far). In LFS, MWAB. HM3 Jaime Ferrer

  15. Good day folks. I'm a Corpsman checking in at NWS Earle and I was hoping to meet and at least get to put faces on some of the names here in the forum. I got lots Mosins and Mausers but they're in Fl right now. So if you guys go shooting I'll just watch and drool at your toys. Hope my two years here at new jersey starts out on a positive note.
