I agree with Gun Blob. All I needed to hear was "Jersey City." Once you've dealt with the JCPD Firearms Unit you'll feel the same way. -
Trainning ammunition (dummy rounds)

You could try making your own from spent brass. I took some fired steel cases and drilled the primer out, then stuck a pulled bullet from a dud round in the front and filled the case with silicone sealant. Supposedly they could get stuck in the chamber of firearms other than the one the case was fired from, but I haven't tried. They fit my needs. I did this after my crappy orange plastic snap caps fell apart. -
I have a pair of no-name work gloves I got at home depot for $11. They cushion my finger from AK trigger slap and stop me from accidentally burning my hands now and then, assuming I remembered to bring them with me in the first place. Also, my understanding is that the primary mechanisms of lead exposure, with respect to shooting, are via touching contaminated range soil and inhaling airborne particles entrained in the expelled propellent gases. Secondary transmission to your infant will be very minimal, if it even occurs at all. As an anecdote, I shoot every 2 - 3 weeks. I need to get my blood lead levels checked regularly as part of my job. My test in November showed 3 micrograms/deciliter. As a comparison, average blood lead levels (according to the CDC) for the US children in the late 70s were 15 micrograms/deciliter, before unleaded fuels became the standard. It was not unusual for highway workers, state police, and mechanics to have levels as high as 70 micrograms/deciliter, and this was still considered safe. This was probably more info than you cared to have but I'm just trying to reassure you.

Operation Right Denied
nasal avenger replied to 71ragtopgoat's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I've been denied an FPID before so I have nothing to lose, but I think it's too early to try this. -
This may have been answered, but I searched and didn't see anything. If I receive a PPP, and then move to another municipality, is the PPP still valid? If I apply for a PPP, and move, can I still pick it up from my old municipality, and will the PPP be valid? I know I need to apply for an FPID address change once I move. Thanks.
