so I got my new forms from RTSP for the new requirements and dropped one off at my local PD and since the court issued mine I sent a copy to them as well. yesterday I got an envelope from the morris county court containing the exact same letter I got when they told me to resubmit it to local PD to add guns. I guess they don't care about it anymore.

I still dont know how "Shooters" can put out a statement that they checked wtih the SP and their quals are OK , A friend took his quals there and they only went out to 15 yds, so how can the SP say theres was OK but Gun for Hire is not? I hope its not a money grab by the ranges? something fishy

Still as clear as muddy water, If Shooters quals are good than most of the other ranges ( Gun for hire, RTSP etc ) should also be good, Right? we need an independent source for the truth and not from the range owners who only want to self promote their "holster draw" classes. I'm gonna wait this one out and see what happens, I can't believe that NJ is going to use offensive (attacking) training like shooting in kneeling position and hiding behind barricade. probably most SD shooting your not going to have time to aim let alone kneel and perform other calisthenics.

Morris county is down to the last batch of permits they have if your waiting, also the court was contacted in regard to adding guns to court order and was told that all they require is proof of ownership for additional guns, qualification at this time not required. I would have q qual for every gun in the rotation just for legal defense just in case.

just came across this old thread, I just got a 44 to practice for my 43x carry gun for lower cost ammo and get accustomed to the mushy glock trigger Im not a plastic gun guy by any means and these are my first 2 but I don't wan to carry a family heirloom and in the event it was utilized in NJ loose it to some liberal court. sure it would be cool to carry a 2" engraved blued python but sure wouldn't want to loose it. therefore I went Glock. I just shot the 44 for the first time and I have to say it shot everything I had with me, about 6 brands, I didnt make any scientific studies to determine what was better but I was surprised how reliable it was. only 1 brand of aguila ammo that I had for the last 20 years had a FTF and it might have been in the mag crooked. it cycled everything from standard vel to aquila super maximum. next time i go i will take notes but compared to my s&w 41/ sig 229 with .22 conversion and 617 I think it did the best and good practice to learn that glock trigger. its also extremely lightweight, when we win the mag ban case there is a mfg that makes 15 rd I think, it will make a great back up being so light.
