  1. Last time I was at the Cody Firearms Museum they were keeping there displays at 40%.I keep mine 40-45%.I've read below 50% is best. But below 40% you start running into the possibility of wood shrinkage.
  2. Ive been to Academi, which was the old Blackwater a bunch of times.Even though it cost some with travel and all,its worth it in the long run. Most of the classes offered from most places are only 2 maybe 3 days.Academi is a full week. With a full week you really have a chance to hone your skills.Plus they have something like 50 ranges plus shoot houses.Depending on the class youll get some low light work in to.If your gonna use your weapon system for home defense, shooting in the dark and low light training is a must. You will definitely get your moneys worth and more.Good Luck
  3. Wow there is hope hahaha.I must say though in all my dealings with ABC they have always been decent to me.I've even had a few long conversations about gun law when I went to pick up my permits. They couldn't understand how I got a Florida carry permit. They are good guys all in all.Just doing their job.And with all the b.s.they have to put up with now a days its not surprising that they might be wound a little tight at times.
  4. Thanks all,I got it all squared away.Just time to play the wait game.I'm sure I will have to call in about 8 weeks and they will tell me my employer never responded as usual.I work in a large place and it always gets mis routed.Of course the PD will never call you and tell you your missing something ahhahaha. Thanks again.
  5. I don't think Mike Bloomberg has anything to do with the media Bloomberg.I believe he sold it years ago.
  6. This is the first time I am using the online form and I wasn't sure what money orders are needed.I thought it was $2 per permit made out to Bayonne and $5 to State Police SBI.The way its written on the form it looks like the $5 is only if you need a FID.Anybody wanna clear that up,thanks.
  7. I use one rechargeable unit on each shelf.I also run a dehumidifier outside the safe.I also have a hygrometer inside and outside the safe so I can see the RH.I try to keep it below 50%RH.I usually run 40-45% and haven't had any issues.
  8. I've heard some good things about the Vortex iine for under a grand.Bipod its Harris or Atlas.
  9. I am trying to get my 03A3 ready for this match.I need to get one more trip to the range.Sounds like it will be fun.
  10. You can contact the Cody Firearms Museum. They have all the old Winchester records. If they find the gun in the factory records they can send you a letter with the history of the gun as it was shipped.

    Kimber Solo

I passed on the Solo because it was made to use certain ammo.I went with the SIG P290RS,very accurate for a pistol of its size.I agree though the Kimber is nice looking gun.I would imagine the Kimber would have a nicer trigger also. The SIG has a long DAO pull, but it works for a carry gun.
  12. Does anyone know of an easy way to get the barrel bushing back on the model 1910/55????
  13. Does anyone know if you can run a tactical drop leg holster for this match?Or will it be IDPA rules with a cover garment? Thanks
  14. You may want to contact GUN FOR HIRE here in the forum. They are good folks with top notch training.
  15. I believe they are all made by Uberti in Italy.
  16. Thanks for the link.I thought the snafu there was that you need to have a ccw from your state first.NJ issues CCWs you just cant get one.
  17. I got this off the Handgunlawus site. Pennsylvania Only Honors Resident Permits from the states of Arizona, Florida, Maine, Mississippi and Virginia. They will not honor a Non Resident AZ, FL, ME, MS or VA Permit/License to Carry. Pennsylvania is amending their agreements to not honor any states Non Resident Permit/License.
  18. Yes but from what I read they are looking to do away with those for non residents also.
  19. Just wondering if anyone has a PA non resident ccw.If so how hard was it to get.I understand you have to go in person to the Sheriffs office.I think somewhere near Pittsburgh.I was reading on Handgunlawus.com that PA may be moving toward not accept any states non resident permit.

    CCW

I'm happy with my SIG P290rs.Its very accurate for a small gun.It comes with a 6 and an 8 round mag.
  21. I'm finally getting my Tavor from Copes in Ohio.It had to be shipped to a dealer in PA to be made NJ legal. They would not send it to a NJ FFL.I guess it depends on the distrubuter but they said that was the law.
  22. I'll bet Rudy wouldn't think that way if he was still mayor.
  23. The real answer to this is that they should have kept this animal locked up when they locked him up the first 4 or 10 times.Im sure if they catch him he will have a rap sheet a mile long.
