  1. They have to have a database. What's stopping someone from printing out a permit and attaching a picture and fooling a cop, if they get stopped or pulled over? It's not like the permits are unique in any way.
  2. If you have a court order, then you're restricted to the guns on the court order. I'd love to force some gang member to read this thread, as part of their punishment and see how many times they laugh at how paranoid we all are to follow the law precisely.
  3. That makes sense, given these are the same permits they've been using for years.
  4. Mine says no restrictions and has the gun I qualified with... The problem with having no restrictions checked and having guns listed is that it will be confusing for cops when you're pulled over. To make it easier, it should say any gun registered, this way there's no ambiguity.
  5. So you can send in proof of ownership (model, serial #, etc) and then they issue a new card that lists the new guns? I heard from the PD that you could carry any gun you own, but what if you want to add 10 guns - I doubt there would be enough room. I wish they would just add a note that says something like 'Allowed to carry any gun registered to him/her'
  6. I'll keep it as-is and hope it goes digital in 2 years. Thanks guys!
  7. Probably a stupid question, but here goes. When I got the permit, the PD laminated it for me. The card is larger than would fit in my wallet, so I trimmed the excess laminate off, but got too close on the side so now I can pull it apart. Do you think it would be ok to bring to staples or some place and have them re-laminate it over the original lamination, then I'll just get a separate holder just for the PTC card?
  8. I was looking to get connecticut too. I signed up for the Florida UT course, which includes the NRA course, which is a prerequisite for the CT permit. I believe that should satisfy the CT needs and then I can apply/get approved for CT too.
  9. Thanks. Looking at the link below, if i get a UT permit, I can carry in NH, but not florida because there is a restriction, correct? I see that Gun for Hire does a UT and Florida permit class. I guess I'd have to do that if I want the UT benefits and be able to carry in Florida, when I'm there. https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/ut-gun-laws/
  10. I filled out and emailed the application last night and got an email this morning to set up an appointment to pick up the permit on March 7th. They take the payment of $20 when you pick it up and take your picture.
  11. Question - if i have a PTC in NJ and I'm a NJ resident, but want to be able to carry in PA, can i fill out the permit form online (pay the $5.00 fee) and if I get approved, carry in PA or do you have to apply in different counties? Also, if approved, would I be able to carry in the other states that PA has reciprocity with? Thank you.
