My son is currently active duty USAF stationed in Florida. He will be getting out in August. He has acquired a handgun and several long guns while in FL. He will be starting college in a few months, possibly in MA. Is there a way I can legally possess the firearms while he is in college? Does he have to sell them to me, in which case it would be a dealer-to-dealer transfer? Thanks.

Mine is secured but it is just a temporary deterrent. There is an electrical outlet to hook up a reciprocating saw, and noise to mask the sound of the saw. Drive up in a contractors F250 or E350 van and not many people would pay much attention Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Blackout Post-Mortem - What would you do different?

I didn't read all this because I am still reading and typing on a phone screen that is too small for my 52 yr old eyes. On the plus side i first got interested in guns last year with Irene and occupy Wall St going on. I am really glad I have them (plural). My wife is too. People were trying to steal generators in Succasunna which is not far from me. There were also looters at the Walmart in Mt Olive. I am also glad that I have a good chain saw because a tree blocked my driveway. I did good having a generator, lots of water, and adequate food. I did not anticipate the gas situation so I have to re-think that. I also have to get my generator connected to my electric panel with a transfer switch The biggest challenge I think is the mental one. Some people I know are just totally defeated by this situation whereas I see it as a challenge to be overcome and resolved. I can see friends and family members getting very depressed and cranky as we go on 7 days without power. Adversity happens in life and with God's grace I make it through. Gov. Christie signs order to ration gas in 12 N.J. counties

Same here. I've been to Stroudsburg twice this week. I'd rather drive 70 minutes than wait in line 2 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I've made two trips to Stroudsburg PA this week to get gas and it has worked well. It is a little more than an hour round trip from where I live near exit 27 of 80. The line was longer today but I did not wait more than 10 minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I can't walk to the gas station to fill my red can? I have to drive, which uses more gas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I was there at same time as you in port 4 shooting a Walther PPQ. Welcome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Accuracy better at longer distance?!

Yes, I started at 5 yards, then 7, then 10. -
I am relatively new to firearms. I have been shooting less than a year. Also, due to some personal events, I have not been to the range in a few months. (This is just a long-winded way of saying that I am not a great shooter.) The other day, I took my Walther PPQ 9mm to RTSP to practice. I was shooting at small 18"x12" targets at 5, 7, and 10 yards. It looks to me like I was more accurate at 7 yards than at 5, and maybe even more accurate at 10 than at 5. I did not shoot the same number of rounds at each target, and the targets are slightly different, so it is not an easy comparison. I have noticed this before. It is a problem with the gun, or is it something I am doing wrong? 5 yards 7 yards 10 yards

Glad you were OK. I miss riding. I've heard of black, brown, grizzly and polar bears, but what is a previous bear? -
Ramsey Outdoor must hate selling firearms.

I have had good service at the RO in Succasunna (formerly Ledgewood) and the one in Ramsey. Never went to Paramus. I bought my Rem 870 from the Succasunna store. They also let me handle multiple handguns without requiring a permit. -

The most disturbing thing about this is that the Brady Center is using a logistical error to get a lot of publicity against evil weapons. -
When I was a kid, I lived near Willow Grove. I saw the Blue Angels almost every year, for free, flying over my house.

Another tragedy of a disturbed person killing others, but with a knife. It just proves that it's the person, not the weapon, that is the problem. BEIJING—A teenager killed eight people with a knife and wounded five more in northeast China after falling out with his girlfriend, state media said Thursday. The teen killed two of her family members and six more people before fleeing, the state-run Legal Daily newspaper said. It reported he was caught but did not describe the circumstances. The official Xinhua News Agency said the attack took place Wednesday night in Liaoning province. Media said the 17-year-old suspect is from Fushun city and his surname is Li. The attack happened in Yongling town. Police in Xinbin County, which oversees the town, declined to comment. Violent crimes are growing more common in China. There was a string of knife attacks against schoolchildren across the country in early 2010 that killed nearly 20 and wounded more than 50. —Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
