One of my wife's guns that she loves is a Sig Sauer p232 Stainless. It is a very accurate little gun and feels like an extension of your hand. IMHO it is better built, more reliable and looks better than the PPK.

The Firearms Guild in Rahway has a great gunsmith. I have used him before and have not been disappointed. Might be a little far for you tho.

I have gotten the "tude" from some shop as well an I am far from a newbie. Just to play devil's advocate you have to look at some of the people who come into the shops. I have seen horrendous firearms safety. How many times a day do the shop employees get a gun pointed in their face. Not to mention how many stupid questions they must answer every day. I know this is no excuse for acting like a snooty know it all but it has to be considered when dealing with these people. My advice is to use the same shop frequently and they will get to know you.

I carry a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe.. It is by far the best holster I have worn(I have an entire tote of off duty holsters). The Crossbreed holster conceals my Glock 27 under a tee shirt. I also use a 511 riggers belt which helps keep the holster tight to the body. Good Luck

My wife has a Sig P232 in .380 and a Sig P239 in 9mm.She loves them both. They are great accurate guns you would not be disappointed in. Good Luck.
