  1. You beat me to it Emma. Anyway here is the ANJRPC version posted on their home page. They go into somewhat more detail. Edit: OK, and Sig guy also beat me with the full text. Where's my coffee?

    Glock 19

Interesting question. There are no Glock 19s Gen 1 for sale on Gunbroker. There is one Glock 17 Gen 1 'collectible' starting at $805. There are currently 9 bidders.
  3. While looking at some of those links I found this. Just started going through it. Depending on the stage of a project and its budget, might be useful.
  4. Freedom Munitions is free shipping on anything and any size order. Today only. 20:30 Update: Tomorrow is 5% off everything and free shipping.
  5. I would second buying from a local dealer that also services what they sell. When the blower breaks you're going to want the service level the shop gives purchasing customers, not the level reserved for those who got the 'bargain' at Home Depot, Lowes or the Internet. In the long run prompt service when you need it is equally as important as the equipment. Personally I run a 13 hp Toro and it's been a CHAMP. Even throws slush and water like I wouldn't believe. This is one of the larger models with the impeller overflow space in the auger shroud. Made a HUGE difference over my previous Deere.
  6. I'm putting this here to get the widest exposure for informational purposes. Please start any firefights over in The Lounge. The AMA has published a completely biased report on Stand Your Ground laws. Here is an analysis of that study over on National Review. This, coupled with Shannon Watts announcing that her group will not be dissuaded by Trump's election, demonstrates the left is not backing down one little bit. I don't believe we should either.
  7. Now until Thursday the Sig Store has 40% off all P220 stuff. Unfortunately the 8 and 10 round magazines are out of stock! But a lot of other stuff is there.
  8. My wife and I will shoot an extra 200 rounds this afternoon in celebration that we DUMPED Hillary. I sincerely hope Trump can rise to the occasion and prove all his critics wrong.
  9. Here's some 'ammunition' for those of you attending. Five tricks gun controllers play in conversation.
  10. No. It's the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. It protects firearms, nothing else.
  11. First, let me say I'm posting this in the general area because it has information and pointers to facts I haven't heard discussed anywhere else. Please keep comments civil; this article deserves the widest possible distribution. I'm posting it so supplement public knowledge, not start a food fight. It's well known that HRC wants to hold gun manufacturers responsible for firearms used in criminal acts. A popular supposition is that she wants to do this so that gun manufacturers can be sued out of existence. Voila: gun control. That is apparently not the case. The real strategy is outlined in this article, which reviews the history of the lawsuit strategy as well as references from the Clinton Presidential Archives. You may be surprised at the real strategy in play. Namely, doing an end-run around Congress.
  12. I find it hard to believe that anyone who was alive and of age in the 1990s would even consider pulling the lever for another Clinton. But they are out there.
  13. My condolences. But recognize that your pain with the loss of a pet confirms that you are a member of the real sentient part of the human race. And that's why we have pets.
  14. I don't know what the cause was, but the issue was definitely DNS resolution. Couldn't get an IP for the site.
  15. There's plenty of times when the Australian model of gun control is touted as a success, including references by Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama. This article by an Australian publication reveals the fact that it's a failure, and backs up that claim with a lot of data and background. In summary: the criminals are armed better than ever. Please note: I put this post in this forum so it would receive some wide exposure, not to start a discussion that belongs in the 1st Amendment Lounge. It's important, especially just before the election, that we have some basis for negating at least one portion of the continuing attack on our Second Amendment. Or confirmation of what we already think we intuitively know. If someone needs to vent on the subject, please open another post in the Lounge. Addendum: the Australian government has declared a new amnesty.
  16. You may be legal in the NJ pasture, but you are still illegal on the Federal Farm. Doesn't matter to me; I won't be using it in any case. But I would like to hear from someone with CO experience in MJ and firearms.
  17. That's what I use on the house perimeter every spring, and again during the summer if we're attacked. Very effective. But I don't stop there. I have personally seen carpenter ants eat Maxforce gel I put out when under seige, and carry off Advance dry bait, and then the next day discovered anywhere from 50 to several hundred ant carcasses at the point of entry. And never saw them again that season. I also scatter Advance dry bait around the house perimeter every spring as a prophylactic. If the carpenter ants find that before they find the house, they might kill the queen and the nest in the woods before they get on the move.
  18. Check the website I listed, and others. Many of the vendors provide pictures and comprehensive descriptions of the various types to educate you. Believe me I was no expert when I started!
  19. What kind of ants? That is key. Carpenter ants are a special project. Little brown ants are less so. There are specific products for specific infestations. The key is you want to bait the ants. That is, get them to feed on a slow acting poison that the workers carry back to the nest and feed to the queen. When the queen dies the colony dies. Google control of your specific ant to find the right products. (Not TAT or other baits at grocery stores. Professional baits.) For carpenter ants I use Maxforce gel and Advance dry bait. They are the two types of food that carpenter ants eat depending on the time of year and their mode. Here's a site I have purchase from. Good luck. You must be rapid and persistent.
  20. Shoot a Ruger LCR in .357. Then when you go back to your 686 it will be just perfect. The .357 is a high-powered handgun round with a large amount of recoil. Not a hydrogen bomb.
  21. Same as the others above, with these comments: Target Sports USA - Frequently the lowest total price for new ammo by the case, when they do ship it gets to NJ overnight via Fedex, and they pack cases inside other boxes so they're clean when they arrive. SG Ammo - competitive prices, low shipping, some oddball stuff from time to time, and frequent email updates. To those two I would add Freedom Munitions if cost is imperative and you don't mind reloads. Their reloads can be significantly cheaper, they have free or low shipping events periodically, and we've never had an issue with their product. (A lot of it.) Having said all that, if I'm ordering anything from a case on up I always check Ammo Seek to double check myself. Sometimes I'm surprised.
  22. This movie will be screened and followed by a discussion at Sussex County Community College on Monday October 24th at 10:30 AM. I think I will attend this. I may have some comments to offer.
  23. The original link is dead. Here is the NJ.com version. Here is the updated NJ Herald story. I want some of that 'high capacity ammunition'.
  24. Yes. M&P 45 where the front rail portion of the frame bent down at the tip, so you could see daylight between the top of the frame and the bottom of the slide. When it was sent back for 'repair', S&W sent back a new frame with a new serial number. And that meant new permit to get it back!
