  1. Don't worry. Our AG is putting in his two cents. (Not ours!) AG Platkin, AG Jennings, AG Henry defend commonsense gun safety laws in federal court - WRNJ Radio And take note it's 'common sense'.
  2. She has indicated she wouldn't sign this. Believe her? And what about Phil? N.J. Dems are fast-tracking changes to public records laws. A lot of people are alarmed. - nj.com NJ OPRA: State Senate moves bill that would gut transparency (njherald.com) "Keep 'em in the dark." NJ Open Public Records Act under assault by Trenton lawmakers (njherald.com) The bill would allow state and local officials to sue any resident if they decide a records request is intended to “harass a public agency.” Worse, officials could simply refuse to share records they think might result in “harassment” — an open invitation to hide embarrassing records when officials view public criticism as harassment.
  3. Meanwhile, the Machine will keep doing its best. NJ Democrats work at all costs to preserve power (njherald.com)
  4. Of course. I was referring to the votes necessary to keep the Marxist Democrats in power. Not the economy. The upper echelons in this country no longer depend on 'the economy'.
  5. They are, and will be, admitting way more illegal aliens to make up for those of us migrating. The U.S. invasion total so far eclipses the populations of 40 of our individual states.
  6. I knew about the Romeo red dot series, but hadn't really looked into them. After this post I read up the detail on the 5 version. The one I ordered arrived promptly yesterday, and I've had a chance to handle it. Did a quick mount to check it out, and it looks very good. I'll have to put it to work now that the weather's breaking. Thanks again @High Exposure for the lead on that bargain.
  7. While it's true granting resident LTCFs in PA is almost universal, legally it is still at the sheriff's discretion, and procedures vary from county to county. My wife and I applied for our resident permits, and received them by mail exactly two weeks later.
  8. It doesn't provide any comfort, but we're not the only state with permit acquisition problems. Sheriff Abruptly Changes Policy That Led to Months-Long Delays for Carry Permits – Bearing Arms Also, across the river in PA, as some of you have noted, there are wide discrepancies in sheriffs' procedures providing out-of-state LTCFs.
  9. I thought I was careful to say 'many', and not 'all'. I accept your assessment since you are more tightly coupled into LE than I am, and I agree with most of it in reference to New Jersey specifically. Nevertheless, over the years I have personally heard NJ LE officers dispense opinions on firearm statues and their implementation that ranged from nonsense to vaguely disguised intentional misinterpretation. In some cases it was obvious they never even read the statute. In others it was clear they intended to ignore them. Perhaps I should add none of those 'conversations' were on this forum. I should add that behavior carries up into the LE hierarchy and is by no means confined to LE 'on the beat'. You need go no further than our current DOJ and FBI to clearly see that 'law enforcement' and interpretation of statutes comes in different flavors. Depending on circumstances.
  10. Unfortunately, this represents the LE mindset of a lot of NJ officers. Not only are they ignorant of the law, they assume they can make it up as they go.
  11. From the article... "...which means a person who wants to buy a handgun and eventually ammunition will be paying $195.00 in fees just on permitting."
  12. And Then There Were 28: Louisiana Becomes Most Recent State to Pass Constitutional-Carry Law – RedState
  13. ALL the way over! NJ Lawmakers Strike Deal To Boost Gas Tax For Infrastructure (nj1015.com)
  14. No one can realistically file a lawsuit against these fees until they actually become law. Right now they're only Bucky's wish list.
  15. IMO that's exactly backwards. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution contains the only reference to 'arms', and it states that our right to acquire and bear the best means of self-protection (arms) 'shall not be infringed' . Further, all other powers other than those explicitly enumerated in the Constitution and its Amendments, are relegated to the states. The method the states used to invent the power to 'regulate' (read 'restrict') 'arms' was through the Interstate Commerce clause. And of course liberal leaning courts went along with that. "Since arms cross state lines in commerce, we can 'regulate' them." In a complete bastardization of 'Constitutional Rights', the state of New Jersey moves all the way from 'regulating interstate commerce' to charging (read: taxing) you to exercise your natural right to self-defense enumerated in the 2nd Amendment. See what they did there?
  16. I assume that was a police dash cam, so they must have the plate number. "911. What is your emergency?" "My 2019 Corvette was stolen a few hours ago. Can you help me find it?"
  17. This morning NJ.com says: Gun permit costs would double in N.J. under Murphy’s budget plan However they provided no specifics. You know, like $50 for a P2P, or $400 for CCW.
  18. Actually, it was when he got into downtown LA that he lost them. But watching a 2019 Corvette doing well over 100 for over 40 minutes on multiple CA freeways is really something. 02/22/24: Corvette driver tops 170 mph in LA freeway chase (youtube.com) The actual chase is over when he disappears amid the high rise buildings. They lost him. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/02/corvette-driver-escapes-police-after-160-mph-chase-near-la/
  19. So we owe a big 'thank you' to China? Will this be our 'Century Of Humiliation"? 'Blood Money': How China Is Secretly Arming American Criminals (breitbart.com) Hint: All those Glock switches may not be U.S. home based business products.
  20. I for one wouldn't eliminate that possibility . "Never let a crisis go to waste" is one of the main staples of the D卐m☭crat party. In fact, since Joe Biden's regime "has F-16s", he might feel real comfortable letting in real terrorists to provide the excuse to clamp down on the rest of us. The school boards and parents who want to control their own kids haven't quite provided enough of an excuse yet. And time may be growing short.
  21. There's two Athlon ads off YouTube that both auto-play on thread pages. The result is audio that sounds like I'm in an echo chamber. Is this necessary? I don't mind ads to support the forum. But IMO auto-play with audio, and especially when it's redundant, is really annoying. Please consider stopping that. If I want to know about a product, I'll click on it.
