Well, nothing is slowing down in the gun sales world of 2021. Another 4,000,000 went out the door in January.

I was a very happy man. My wonderful Italian girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me....It was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight mini skirts, and generally was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate. Because she never did it when she was near anyone else. One day her "little" sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me." I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lo... And behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law put down his shotgun and hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family." And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car!

But remember, there's only 10 years left until climate change dooms us all.

I get in-stock alerts almost every day from TSUSA. And as a Prime Ammo customer I think they get sent to me before the general public. At least that's the way it's supposed to be. They're pretty much of a joke to me now because no matter how fast I get to the product page, they're sold out. But one thing I did notice. The two alerts today were on Blazer 9mm in 115 and 124 grain. And the price was still listed at .60/round. That's definitely a bargain at this point in time. So TSUSA does not appear to be gouging.

Yes I do. That's the incident I was referring to in my previous post. Thanks for pointing to it. I think most of us on this board shoot way more than 120 rounds per year (when we could get reasonably priced ammo) to stay proficient and accurate. I have often wondered how many LE officers of any type are actually 'gun people'. That is to say firearms are something they like and would stay proficient with on their own accord, regardless of what their job provides. Frankly, someone who thought 120 rounds and two sessions a year would keep them sharp (enough for a job with increased odds of a shooting) would be suspect. In my view.

Hence Glock's 'invention' of the 'NY 2 Trigger', a ridiculous spring combination that resulted in about a 12# pull weight. Just so all those 'accomplished' NYC police would be really, really, really sure they wanted to pull the trigger. I remember one specific incident that went down exactly as described. 15 or 20 shots fired with only one hit on the suspect. Or was it none? I'll have to see if I can dig that out. And to be fair it's not just NYC. I had one rather highly placed NJ state trooper tell me in person categorically that if he was on the qualification range and certain other troopers that he knew came on the range to shoot... he would leave. They were that unsafe.

I was in radio broadcasting in the 70's, so I (and Mrs. 45Doll) knew a fair amount about the industry. After FM radio started playing music, AM radio went basically down the tubes. And stayed there. It's not an exaggeration to say that Rush single handedly resurrected AM radio from the grave, and made it more useful than ever. My wife was on the road in the NY area the first day he went live nationally (August 1988?) and was on (I believe) WABC. That night she burst through the front door and blurted out "I heard a guy on the radio today who sounded just like you if you had stayed in!". That was an exaggeration in hindsight; I would never have been another Rush Limbaugh. But what she meant was she finally heard someone in broadcasting (in ANY medium!) who sounded like the way we thought. And that was absolutely true. He was indeed unique. And a treasure for this country, and conservatism. I made up my mind today that I will never be silenced in defense of the founding principles of this country, or its greatness. In his honor. And in fact, it's long past time to go on offense.

Here's my contribution. DSL rides on a POTS line (Plain Old Telephone Service), and the available speed depends on (and is limited by) the distance between the customer site and the nearest POP. (Point-of Presence) The greater the distance, the slower the speed. Available speeds these days range from about 1MB to 30MB. So if you have a POTS line you'll have to check with your carrier for the available speed to your location. Notice that on a DSL connection it's a direct point-to-point, and your traffic is the only traffic. Internet over cable doesn't care what the distance is, and you pay for as much bandwidth as you want up to the limit your carrier offers you. However you are sharing all the wire between your house and the CATV headend. So speed is not usually guaranteed at all times. Proceed accordingly.

Nothing at all in southern Sussex until about 8:45. Started a dusting and at 9:30 it's barely covered the pavement.

Yes, that's certainly true and I should have mentioned it. Applications last year in NJ were up over 400%. So you add a huge abnormal volume to an already lethargic system further hampered by virus restrictions and you get even larger delays.

Because in New Jersey adhering to the permit laws, and especially the 'shall be issued within 30 days' section, is at the discretion of law enforcement. The NJ Supreme Court said it was so. If they want to they can take their own sweet time. Some do, and some don't. If you came from PA, I can't believe you didn't know this before you moved. I'm going the other way. And most firearm people I meet in PA go WHAT? when I tell them my other state is New Jersey. Then they tell me the horror stories from their NJ relatives or friends.
