  1. They just can't come into your home. They applied to a judge for a search warrant based on probable cause. The judge signed off of the warrant and the search was performed.
  2. Harry Reid will never bring it up for a vote. Absent that, the treaty is considered binding after the president signs it until the Senate either votes it up or down. Dick Morris has talked about this. It's coming folks and it's not just guns. The Globalist want the UN to control everything.
  3. Try again, the UN small arms treaty will be signed and eventually be used to disarm everyone.
  4. Possession of a weapon without a carry permit is a second degree crime. There is a presumption of jail with 1st and 2nd degree crimes in NJ. You don't get probation, you go to jail.
  5. No, you would go to jail. And you would never be able to own any weapon every again.
  6. In other news, possession of an assault weapon is now a 2nd degree crime in NJ. That means no PTI, you go straight to jail, 7-10 years.
  7. The burden is on the NJ resident to possess a NJFID before receiving ammo. If they don't, they are in violation of the law, not the out of state dealer.
  8. Correct, it's not as simple as the word of someone else, Officers would need to believe the report to be true. Usually though, a case worker from the country screening service make a visit to the house. They do a field interview and if they feel you need to go, guess what, you go. All they do is sign a piece of paper give it to the PD and you are off to the crazy house for evaluation.
  9. Sounds to me that he was taken in without his consent, which in NJ can be done if the crisis worker feels the person is a danger to himself or others. If this was the case, he may in deed have issues in the future depending on what town he lives in and if they look for any reason to deny a permit.
  10. Does anyone really think that the final signed version of this bill will prohibit LE from using lasers for their weapons or for speed detection. I'm betting nothing will change for them.
  11. Deadly force for defense of property is NOT authorized in NJ. Add to the fact that you would be out of your house with your weapon, I would say you would probably be charged with something depending on what county you live in. Pointing a firearm at someone is considered aggravated assault in NJ. A police officer can do it, but you can't, especially under the circumstances you describe.
  12. I'm sure the 12lb Glock trigger that NYC politicians insist the police officers use had nothing to do with it.
  13. It really comes down to 3 things How many applications the PD in question get Adequate manpower and time to handle said applications Priority the Chief gives to completing said applications in a timely maner.
  14. No, the buyer would no way, no how be in any kind of trouble.
  15. Wrong, wrong and wrong. You can certainly take you gun to the shipping center for repairs. The gun will be unloaded and sealed in a package. Whoever told you at UPS that they won't ship a gun unless you are a cop is full of it and doesn't know what he is talking about. Please don't scare everyone with your paranoia. The only thing you can't do is ship USPS.
  16. HR 822 has zero percent chance of passing the senate. Reid won't even bring it up, so this whole thread is moot.
  17. Unless Christie gets a federal seat somehow, he will easily win re election next year. He is popular in most of the state.
  18. Semi Auto tacticals suck in NJ. Most of the features that make it tactical, also make it an assault weapon. Get a pump gun and you can pretty much do what you want with it.
  19. I doubt Lautenberg even knows what fun is. He's nothing but a miserable old douche.
  20. As per Scalia, doesn't sound like those cases are going to matter that much if the states want to chip away at our rights. Ammo is the key. It's not 2A protected. Anti gun states like NJ and CA will start imposing ammo limiting regulations to the point where you'd be lucky to be able to buy one box of ammo a month. Watch, it will start coming like a avalanche now that the anti's know what to do.
  21. Agreed and unlike a federal law, an online ammo ban would easily pass in NJ.
