  1. left no Cam Bar Right Cam Bar The camming bar gives another point of contact past the clips for the belt to push the holster in more.
  2. The Tenicor has a wedge built in to the holster. I’m using a Tenicor rig. Not using Vedder. IMO, of all the AIWB rigs I have tried, Tenicor is far and away the best.
  3. What belt are you using? Are you using any kind of wedge? Get rid of any plastic clips you have and use Discrete Carry Concepts belt clips. Make sure the clips are sized to your belt. Make sure you have some kind of a belt camming bar on your holster. I carry my G19 with RDS and light (TLR7a) in a Tenicor Sagax Lux on an Ares Gear belt every day and have no issues. The Tenicor holsters come with an integral wedge and adjustable camming bar. They are great holsters. You should try them - (you may have to get a different light, not sure if your setup is compatible).
  4. It’s still March. The data isn’t reported to the State portal until the next month. Every Chief of Police has to upload the previous month’s CCW data (approval/rejection) to an online portal on the first of the next month. March’s data won’t get uploaded until AFTER April 1. Look at the data. There are no results for March 2024 This is per NJAG Directive 2023-02
  5. Got it. My light and laser setup cost significantly more than that.
  6. Here’s a companion video to that NJ Spotlight News article in the OP. Interesting stuff… www.pbs D O T org/video/nj-spotlight-news-marxh-19-2024-1710862630/ It’s about 25 minutes long (I broke the link so it doesn’t track back here. Cut and paste into your browser and add a https:// in the front and replace the D O T with a . ) Skip to 14:25 to hear Col Callahan speak on this a bit.
  7. Hmmmm… in 2023 shootings in NJ dropped below 1000 - that’s around a 30% decrease… I wonder if there is a correlation.
  8. Yes exactly - it’s a chunk of dumb lead and copper, not a not a GBU from an F-15. The laser dot only predetermines the impact of your bullet if you execute all of the rest of your shooting fundamentals perfectly. The best are the shooters who think a laser can replace a white light for low light defensive shooting since they don’t need to “see their sights“ anymore.
  9. I agree with your assessment. Without a lot of training, pistol lasers just aren’t worth it. If the laser is mounted at 6 o'clock to the barrel and you can see the laser dot above your sights at some distance, you have a converging zero at whatever distance your laser dot, sights, and bullet impact meet. As you increase that distance the laser dot will rise higher above your front sight. As you decrease that distance, the laser dot will fall under your barrel. For parallel, imagine a second laser replacing your sighting system. From your muzzle to infinity, the distance between those two beams will never change.
  10. Ok…. I had a very detailed response typed up, but I deleted it. Hey man, if it works for you, I guess carry on. I have spent a large amount of time using lasers on rifles shooting under NODS or with a Promask and they have a place. But for normal people, with limited training and experience i believe most people are better served buying ammo and getting professional training on traditional self defense TTPs with iron and red dot sights a better investment than buying a laser aiming device. I spent time with pistol lasers as well, and I believe they are useless on pistols unless it’s an IR laser and you are shooting under NODS, but the proliferation of pistol RDS and passive shooting techniques have made pistol lasers obsolete, in my experience.
  11. @ESBIs this for rifles only? Or are you talking about lasers on pistols as well? Do you mean a laser boresight tool? Or are you using a visible aiming laser to zero your red dot sight? I agree. A properly zeroed laser can be a useful backup sighting system. Do you prefer parallel method or a converging zero for this? What distance do you zero your laser at? How accurate are your impacts using a laser as your “heated moment” aiming device? Is it more accurate or less accurate than using your red dot/optic/irons?
  12. Gotcha. Do you find lasers to be a useful addition to your firearms?
  13. Yes. Laser grips of any brand are legal in NJ. I’m curious what statute, law, or guidance made think that they may be illegal here?
  14. You're right! It should say Pork Roll!
  15. Do you know if it takes a standard or proprietary barrel nut? I checked real quick, but if it’s mentioned, I don’t see it…
  16. Sorry. The Warden will only fit on muzzle devices that will also accept suppressors. SF recently started making the Pro series (I always discount/forget about them as I wouldn’t buy it) that cost less than standard devices. The Pro lineup does not have the indexing notch or the ability to attach a Warden.
  17. I think it is. Additionally, the Warden will fit on any other rifle with a SF brake - so there is value added. They also make a direct thread Warden which is cheaper than buying a Warden/MB556 Combo. https://www.surefire.com/warden-direct-thread/ Note: B&T also makes SF Warden compatible muzzle devices if you find something you like by them.
  18. I thought you liked the Sig micro 1911 in .380? You shot that the best out of everything I saw you shoot.
  19. Pretty broad brush there, and untrue. Every officer (and it’s quite a few) I know is quite happy about civilians carrying now and is pissed that the process is so murky and onerous. The law is complicated, new, and the process has changed quickly multiple times (at one time you had to qual with the guns carried) with different tiers of permit holders with different allowances based on the timing of your permit, who signed it, in what county it was signed and what injunction, lawsuit, or process was in place at the time. Don’t attribute personal malice to confusion due to changing requirements, lack of accurate guidance from judges, attorneys, or the AGs office, and different standards set forth county by county.
  20. How dare you introduce common sense and critical thinking into the discussion! Who do you think you are?
  21. Nice! I currently don’t need one myself, but I’m contemplating building a rifle just to justify buying one!!
  22. This is a great deal. I am cross posting because I think it will get more views here than in then Hot Deals discussion room.
