  1. Moved out of Jersey several months ago for Florida. This is my experience with the local range costs. Non member. $15 a port $7.50 for an add on. Ammo no reloads, pricing is standard prices, not range prices. So the last 9's I used were on sale for $12 a box and 38's were 15, I'd guess much cheaper then GFH member discount. Only had to wait once so I went shopping nearby and then came back. Don't try that in Jersey. There are also regular specials like ladies shoot free on Mondays, 4 through closing, 2 for Tuesday's, $1.50 rentals Weds. I've seen transfers for $25, including NCIC check. For purchaces, one place I've gone to was NCIC included with purchase, the other was $5. As for shooting reloads, the county sheriff's open their outdoor range to the public 2x a month at no cost. So there is a world of difference once you leave NJ. And the freedom of not having to go to/from range only. And even without a CCW you can have your handgun in the car as long as it is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. This includes the glove box and center console. This makes transporting so much easier. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
  2. Move is complete to Florida, I did vote by mail for Kim ( a lot of good that did ) before establishing residency. Its refreshing to be able to do impulse purchases. Where the waiting period is just a NICS check and was only $5. No more only to / from the range without deviations, neutered rifles, OGAM, mag limits... Suppressors are legal, shooting in your property if acceptable and quite common where I'm at. Taxes slashed dramatically. Indoor range costs dropped as well, with decent weekly specials, like ladies night Mondays ( ladies shoot free ), 2 for 1 Tuesdays, $1.5 rental Wednesdays... Only drawback is none of the indoor ranges allow reloads, but partially made up for by the sheriffs outdoor range being open to the public on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. They even recommended getting a carry permit, but was already ahead in that game. The phone always says light ( no ) traffic in the area all the time. No snow, heck, its 80 today. Overall glad to be out of Jersey.
  3. Mail a SASE and request it back Keep driving by in hopes the store is open Possibly a bit pre occupied? http://www.nj.com/bergen/index.ssf/2017/03/fairview_cop_allegedly_used_gps_device_to_stalk_fo.html A search will reveal various email and phone numbers. https://www.google.com/#q=Vache+Mike+Assadourian

  5. Check this place out in Lodi, if it is legal in Jersey they have it or can get it. http://njexoticpets.biz
  6. Not in Jersey, here they prefer you take a dirt nap.
  7. Heh, the only booze with a Last Will & Testament on it. I'm set. Fridge stocked. Out of office already on. No snow blower though, I refuse to get one because it will be of no use to me when I move. With how cold it is going to be I'm hoping on a fluffy light snow.
  8. I kinda like the DC license plates. "Taxation Without Representation" Wasn't that a rallying cry a ways back?
  9. Boons Farm, Ripple, MD 20 / 20, bout my extent of knowledge.
  10. 7 years sounds safe. 3 years for an audit, further if caught cheating. The IRS abides by a statute of limitations of three years after the due date of the return. For “substantial errors,” the IRS maintains it can go back six years and recommends you keep most records at least that long.
  11. I'm sure the Obamacare tax put a dent in the return. The 2016 tax year penalty is $695 per adult and $347.50 per child, up to a maximum $2,085 for a family, or 2.5 percent of a portion of your household income, whichever amount is larger. The penalty is assessed on a monthly basis, meaning you could owe a portion of the penalty for every month that you or your family members were without coverage. So it looks like Bama took 1.25% of your combined income, up to the limits above. 3 months no coverage for 2 adults. .025 / 12 * 3 * 2 * total income Pretty sure this would be greater then 695 /12 * 3 * 2
  12. Snow bunnies can be brutal, but a firearm is not the protection you would need.
  13. Contact the record department and get a discovery. Check for anything you can use in your defense, like calibration records of the device used to record the speed, the officers certification / training to use such a device. If it is radar, it leaves a possibility of a false positive, something else being the source. If it is lidar, it would probably have a picture of the vehicle. Most prosecutors will accept the 2 point ticket over having to have the officer testify, unless its a town where you went down a money maker street and the officer will be in court anyway due to the number of tickets issued and someone already hireling a lawyer to fight it. Although they will get to go first and and you can pretty much base your outcome on theirs. Beating a 20 over the limit would be difficult, I'd accept the 2 point conversion as a win. I don't think NJM will crucify you for 2 points.
  14. Just take it into account when bidding. Figure out the most you want to pay for an item and divide by 1.2, don't bid higher than that amount.
  15. Anyone know if the range is intended to be open to the public or private? Does not seem very welcoming. NJ NICS + S.P. 66? "Background checks for criminal and mental health issues would be conducted on each person who enters the facility, including law enforcement,"
  16. Fake news! Of course those who think it is pork roll will believe it.
  17. These probationary periods look tough, glad it wasn't like this when I was a kid. http://www.nj.gov/lps/hts/downloads/gdl-bro-eng.pdf • May not plea bargain any point carrying offense to a 0 point carrying offense • Effective September 17, 2008, the Attorney General banned municipal prosecutors from offering 0 point plea agreements to all GDL holder 39:3-13.4d. In addition to any other penalties provided under law, the holder of a probationary license who accumulates more than two motor vehicle points or is convicted of a violation of R.S.39:4-50; section 2 of P.L.1981, c.512 (C.39:4-50.4a); P.L.1992, c.189 (C.39:4-50.14); R.S.39:4-129; N.J.S.2C:11-5; subsection c. of N.J.S.2C:12-1; or any other motor vehicle law the chief administrator deems to be significant and applicable pursuant to regulation shall, for the first violation, be required to satisfactorily complete a remedial training course of not less than four hours which may be given by the commission, a driving school licensed by the chief administrator pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1951, c.216 (C.39:12-2), or any Statewide safety organization approved by the chief administrator. The course shall be administered pursuant to rules and regulations promulgated by the chief administrator and subject to oversight by the commission. The authority of the chief administrator to suspend, revoke, or deny issuance of an initial or renewal license to operate a driving school or an instructor's license, and to assess fines, pursuant to P.L.1951, c.216 (C.39:12-1 et seq.) shall apply to any violations related to the administration of a remedial training course. The license holder shall also remit a course fee prior to the commencement of the course.

  19. Several states have waiting periods, most can be bypassed by having a carry permit. Even Florida has a 3 day wait, bypassed with a carry permit.
  20. Out of curiosity, what was the solution? Cable from router to PC?
  21. Always go through your insurance, report it as soon as it happens, your insurance should be able to get the police report themselves. Once there is a police report they will be notified anyway, On a hit and run you will be out the deductible, most like like $500 based on it going through the uninsured motorist fund. If the other person has insurance then your insurance will try to recoup the deductible from them. The cost of any repairs are never as cheap as you think it may be and the other party is not going to pay out of their pocket. Who is paying for the rental as your vehicle is in for repairs? There will always be costs you did not think of. Never try to work it out yourselves. If you do not get the police report, what is to stop the other party from filling a lawsuit against you just under the 2 year limit for personal injuries claiming it was your fault. Dash cams are great, but a rear facing one in this case would be even better. I've been using one for years based on all the insurance scams that are pulled, like people throwing themselves on your hood claiming you hit them.
  22. TM 822 shows :Ethernet port 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Port, Download speeds up to 343 Mbps So the modem would not be the problem. Look at the LINK light on the modem, the manual shows 10/100 is yellow, green is 1000. If the light is not green whatever the modem is connected to is the limiting factor. For short distances you can typically make due with CAT5 cable, Gigabit should be CAT5e or CAT6. This would not limit the speed you connect at, just the reliability of data transmission. Since your ethernet card shows a selection of 1000, you probably have a hub or router between the modem and your PC that is only capable of 100 Mbps. The 2.4GHz and 5Ghz are wireless frequencies to your hub/router. The wireless speeds you show are what that device would be capable of doing, this would vary greatly based on signal strength, interference from other devices, wireless standard used, number of antennas on the wireless device... It is not necessarily the speed you will get. 5Ghz will typically have less interference due to less devices on those frequencies, but it will cover less distance then 24Ghz. The number of streams the modem can handle really only comes into play during times of heavy network congestion, picture the holidays when everyone is home. , On a side note: I can't quite understand why people 'need' these super fast internet speeds for the home, its all marketing hype and bragging rights. Typical 1080p streaming is 5Mbps. Can't see paying for extra speed that most likely never gets used. I'm sure there are rare exceptions other then piracy. I also can't get over the PC's people buy to browse the internet and send emails with. It's like having a Lamborghini to drive on a 25mph road.
  23. Could be a couple of things, the modem might be limited to a 100 meg connection to your WAN port and / or your internal network ( ethernet cards, hub, router... ) is 100meg. You would need a gigabit network to support those speeds. Easy enough to check these things.
  24. Leave with family / friend in GA until the permit comes in?
