  1. Legalese sucks. It would seem that Judge Honorable Edward A. Jerejian and John Jay Hoffman feel that the appeal of the lower courts decision will not be heard by SCOTUS so they are not going to waste their time responding in opposition to it. A response on their part is optional. They either did not respond in the 30 days or filed a response that they will not respond.
  2. Jan 10 2017 Waiver of right of respondents Judge Honorable Edward A. Jerejian and John Jay Hoffman to respond filed. https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docketfiles/16-7165.htm
  3. Sent Anthony at GFH an email suggesting this as a topic for discussion, looks like It will be on GFH radio #295, taping next week. Can't wait.
  4. Get optimum internet, you will also get the local channels through the cable. I also subscribe to amazon prime and netflix. I use a HTPC with 5 tuners to record the OTA TV. When I had cable I used a 4 tuner with cable card to record, wasn't going to pay to rent a box. If you don't mind contracts, keep changing providers every 2 years, The new subscriber deals are pretty good.
  5. Search on: New Jersey intestate succession and intestacy.. You will see that the children are entitled to properties without a will.
  6. Just to add, NJM policies are 1yr, not 6mo or monthly. They are not going to jack the price up mid stream.
  7. Color says red. Should be Trump orange.
  8. Not so much what to carry ( M&P 9 Shield ) , just being able to transport would be my biggest benefit. No more of the Can I do this or that, stop here or there on the way to or from the range.
  9. Same here... Might be one of the few things I miss when I leave.
  10. Nothing about requiring a will. testamentary bequest would refer to a will intestacy is without a will So it pretty much translates to: ...a permit to purchase or a firearms purchaser identification card shall not be required for the passing of a firearm upon the death of an owner to his heir, with or without a will... 2C:58-3j Firearms passing to heirs or legatees. Notwithstanding any other provision of this section concerning the transfer, receipt or acquisition of a firearm, a permit to purchase or a firearms purchaser identification card shall not be required for the passing of a firearm upon the death of an owner thereof to his heir or legatee, whether the same be by testamentary bequest or by the laws of intestacy. The person who shall so receive, or acquire said firearm shall, however, be subject to all other provisions of this chapter. If the heir or legatee of such firearm does not qualify to possess or carry it, he may retain ownership of the firearm for the purpose of sale for a period not exceeding 180 days, or for such further limited period as may be approved by the chief law enforcement officer of the municipality in which the heir or legatee resides or the superintendent, provided that such firearm is in the custody of the chief law enforcement officer of the municipality or the superintendent during such period. Also: 13:54-1.13 Firearms passing to heirs or legatees (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of this subchapter concerning the acquisition of a firearm, a permit to purchase a handgun or a firearms purchaser identification card shall not be required of an heir or legatee for the passing of a firearm, upon the death of its owner. A person so acquiring ownership may retain the firearm if he or she meets the requirements of N.J.A.C. 13:54-1.5 and 1.6. (b) If an heir or legatee is not qualified to acquire a firearm, he or she may retain ownership of the firearm for the purpose of sale for a period of 180 days, which period may be extended by the chief of police or the Superintendent. During such period the firearm must be placed in the custody of the chief of police or Superintendent. © In the case of assault firearms or machine guns disposition shall be in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13:54-5
  11. Same here, using the Fort Knox PB1 for something quick access I don't trust anything battery operated to work when I need it, also don't trust anything bio-metric, can't see a fingerprint scanner working reliably if you hands are dirty, oily, bloody...
  12. Utah does mail a reminder to renew. Renewal process is the easiest and cheapest of all permits. Go online, answer all questions ( same as the initial application ), submit a digital picture ( you crop the picture on their site ), pay, receive new permit in under 2 weeks. https://bci.utah.gov/concealed-firearm/how-do-i-renew-my-concealed-firearm-permit/
  13. Should have worn a IDF or JDL T shirt. Have them call the cops on their own.
  14. Add to the list, blowing out the processor and power supply fans, either of these getting dirty and slowing down can cause crashes. Download and run memtest86+, this will give a much better indication of a memory problem, For SSD drives download the manufacturers software that lets you read the SMART details, check the reallocated sector and non recoverable error counts, you may have to run this on another PC if they do not have a bootable media option for the program. They also might have a diagnostic program you can run on it. If the above is good then install in a second PC as a second drive and run scandisk / checkdisk or whatever disk checking software you have on it, scan for viruses and malware. I have had SSD's develop unrecoverable errors, but it has not effected their operation,SSD's typically have a small amount of reserved memory to replace the bad areas.
  15. Dicks still has Federal packs of 325 for $18.74

  17. I'd agree if I didn't break it down, clean and lube after ever use. Just started using the Federals, prior I went through a few boxes of Remington Golden bullets dozens of American Eagle 40 packs and didn't have such issues. Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on the last cleaning. Going to try some Remington Thunderbolt and Federal to compare next range trip. I've had this Ruger for at least 25 years and never had ejection issues. Only problem was with some Mec-Gar mags, they constantly had failure to feed problems. Used them a few times, now they just take up shelf space. The 4 factory mags I brought have always worked well. Still picked up 3 boxes on the way home at Dicks in Paramus, shelf was bare, but there was a couple of cases in back.
  18. Try Dicks in Palisades mall, bring someone 21 just in case, no FID needed. Never been asked for any ID there.
  19. Went through 150 this weekend, ran like crap in my Ruger MKII. Several failure to eject, stove piped with the next round jamming under it. One failure to fire, second time was the charm. Still picking up a couple of boxes on way home tonight, its the one caliber I can't reload.
  20. Can't tell by the picture the location or size, if it is the size of a quarter or less I'd use one of those epoxy window repair kits, to at least stop it from spider webbing out. Sometimes it works well enough that you don't have to replace the window. As usual, Jersey laws suck, look at the Jersey ones and see how many violations you probably already have ( GPS, Camera, EZ-Pass... ) Heck, even heard of people getting a ticket for the oil change due on sticker. https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/the-guide-to-cracked-windshield-laws-in-all-states-by-brady-klopfer
  21. Personally I'd so no, but just check with the PD you are applying to, its their call.
